Norwegian Cruise Line Partners With Expedia CruiseShipCenters To Host National Conference

Norwegian Epic plays host to more than 300 attendees at 2010 annual conference

Norwegian Cruise Line's largest and most innovative Freestyle Cruising ship, Norwegian Epic, recently hosted Expedia CruiseShipCenters' Partners in Service Excellence 2010 National Conference. A marketing leader in the cruise vacation industry and a part of the Expedia family, Expedia CruiseShipCenters brought more than 250 franchise owners on board to participate in the week's events.

Norwegian's signature Freestyle Cruising, which gives guests the freedom and flexibility to enjoy their cruise vacation on their terms with no fixed dining times and relaxed attire, was evident throughout the week. Franchise owners were able to experience the wide range of dining on board Norwegian Epic, including three nights of custom "Dine-Around" that allowed participants to try different specialty restaurants such as Moderno Churrascaria and Shanghai's. Attendees were also treated to Epic's innovative entertainment with an exclusive Second City performance that was tailored and performed specifically for them.

"It's a great opportunity for us to showcase how unique Epic truly is." According to Matthew Eichhorst, president of Expedia CruiseShipCenters, the Norwegian team was instrumental in delivering an outstanding conference. "Expedia CruiseShipCenters is all about exceeding expectations", he says. "In 2009, when we were deciding which cruise line would be selected to host our 2010 National Conference, we asked one simple question ? ?How are you going to make it special?' "

The answer was made clear onboard Norwegian Epic, as the group of 334 attendees, including franchise owners and suppliers, blended a comprehensive business agenda with all of the unique features of the ship. Other exclusive events included a Franchise Partners Aqua Challenge, champagne sail-away complete with an airplane banner flying over-head welcoming Expedia CruseShipCenters and an executive sliming by the Nickelodeon cast on board.
