Description:

This position will provide an independent accounting and auditing function of the ship's Casino Operations. The Casino Controller is responsible for ensuring the integrity and completeness of casino accounting. This incumbent will perform audits of the casino paperwork on a voyage basis and maintain direct, open channels of communication with the Casino Cage staff as well as Casino Operations, Internal Audit and Ship and Shore-side Accounting Management.

Education:

Bachelors Degree in Accounting or related field required.

Experience:

  • Minimum, 2-3 years of accounting or auditing experience.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Casino experience, operational or financial, is a PLUS.
  • Excellent knowledge of computers and operating systems including PeopleSoft, Excel and Word, Casino software (Oasis) a plus.
  • Fluent in English language; speak, read, and write.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform detailed standard and ad hoc financial audits of the casino transaction detail as requested by the Casino Finance Manager and VP of Corporate Gaming and Control.
  • Perform voyage audits of casino paperwork to ensure the integrity of casino accounting and reporting, i.e. ensure casino paperwork is properly completed, supported and authorized.
  • Monitor compliance with onboard accounting policies and procedures for the casino operations.
  • Responsible for reviewing GL codes for its correct usage
  • Act as the liaison between Casino Operations, Financial Accountant Operations and NCL Onboard Accounting.
  • Audit of Casino Closing.
