Experience the island's highlights on a narrated scenic drive. From the port, your motorcoach drives past the New Fortress. Driving along the coastal road, you’ll reach the site of Perama, where you’ll stop to take photographs of the famous views of Mouse Island. Continue towards the village of Lakones where you can look down on the Paleokastritsa and take a few more memorable photos before returning to the port. Your last stop will be at a Koum Kouat distillery where you’ll see a small exhibition of antique distillery equipment and also sample the produce. The Koum Kouat citrus fruit, a variety which only grows in Corfu, is made into one of the island's most famous products - a liqueur with the same name, plus fruit-preserved sweets. You’ll also have the opportunity to purchase local liquors before returning to your ship. Enjoy the gorgeous scenery and views of the Corfiot countryside on your way to the Avlaki Bay. The stables are located in a shady olive grove by the sea. Your ride sets off across the wild headland and along Avlaki’s lanes and tracks towards the beach. The trail offers riders some magnificent views of the beautiful peninsula of Erimitis and passes through paths bordered by many beautiful trees, flowers and shrubs and a wide variety of wild herbs including bay, oregano, thyme, mint and myrtle. From a vantage point you’ll also have the chance to admire the Albanian coastline and enjoy a unique view of Caparelli Island which houses an old Venetian lighthouse. You’ll then ride down to a pretty beach of the area where you’ll stop for few minutes before retracing the same route, which will bring you back to the riding center. Here you’ll be helped to dismount from your horse and enjoy a cool and refreshing drink. Continue to the long sandy beach of Avlaki (Roda) for some free time. There are facilities for swimming, sunbathing and water sports; sun beds and umbrellas are available to rent on your own from local concessionaires. A few steps from the beach, you’ll find sea front taverns where you can enjoy a snack or refreshment (at your own expense). Note: Participants must be at least 14 years of age. Explore the beautiful and picturesque villages of Corfu by bike. Leave the port by coach to Dassia where you’ll select your bike and receive all necessary instructions. Accompanied by a local guide, your mountain bike expedition begins with a short and easy uphill climb to the village of Kato Korakiana. Once you reach the village, stop for a short rest at a traditional coffee shop before continuing on to another village. The foothills of Mount Pantokrator offer stunning views of the inner plains of the island, which are stretched below. Through a narrow paved alley, reach the picturesque village of Saint Marcos, an old Venetian settlement with carefully restored stone-built houses and a Byzantine chapel. At a local tavern in this village, enjoy a Greek snack before you take the road down the hill. Note: Tour involves approximately 12 1/2 miles (20 km) of riding on uneven terrain or asphalt road on a slight incline for a total of approximately two hours. Participants must be in good physical condition and must be at least 12 years of age, weigh no more than 220 lbs. and be a minimum height of five feet. Sturdy, closed-toe shoes are required. Mandatory helmets are provided, along with elbow, knee and wrist protection. Even though this tour has limited participation and is conducted in small groups, a minimum number of participants is required to operate.
