Cruise from New York to Bermuda
Norwegian loves the Big Apple! Norwegian has had a long-standing commitment to New York and now we are bringing our newest ship there year-round! In the summer of 2013, the ship will sail to beautiful pink sand beaches of Bermuda. We'll dock at King's Wharf for three days, giving you the freedom to explore the beaches, golf courses, restaurants, shops and history at your leisure, and you'll have three relaxing days at sea to enjoy all the incredible amenities of this world-class ship.
Pop icon and America's most popular living artist, Peter Max, has been commissioned to paint the signature hull artwork for Norwegian Breakaway. This is the first time Norwegian has asked a well-known artist to paint the hull artwork on one of its ships.
The overall design theme for Project Breakaway's staterooms is "modern boutique hotel meets the sea". The needs of guests were strongly considered when designing these staterooms. Guests will be greeted with an ambiance that is warm and inviting and has a very contemporary feel with clean, modern lines.
These private enclaves at the top of the ships are home to our most luxurious, well-appointed and spacious accommodations offering the utmost in service and elegance. The Haven guests have an array of amenities, including private butler and concierge service, poolside valet, and white table cloth in-suite dining to name a few.
Here you'll find the latest information and behind-the-scenes looks at the planning, building and preparing that will make these ships the ultimate in Freestyle Cruising. Check back periodically for updates, photos and more from the team at Norwegian and Meyer Werft.
Cruising for NamesNorwegian Breakaway & Norwegian Getaway
Norwegian Cruise Line has selected the winning names: Norwegian Breakaway and Norwegian Getaway.
The names best invoked the feeling that these ships will provide a "break" at sea from the stress of everyday life.
The contest winners are Kimberly Powell of Lafayette, LA, who first submitted Norwegian Breakaway, and Dennis Hultman of Vienna, VA, who first submitted Norwegian Getaway.
