Your guide will meet you at the Kayak Center to escort you to the staging area for an orientation and safety instruction. The protected waters of Port Frederick are yours to explore as you set off from the beach at Icy Strait Point in your two person wilderness sea kayak. Navigate the legendary Strait of Magellan on a two-person sea kayak. Transfer by motor coach approximately 17 miles south to the Agua Fresca Bay area. Hike a winding forest trail through some of the most spectacular countryside on Kauai, a natural wonderland that lives up to its nickname, the “Garden Island.”

After departing from the pier, you will learn about the history of Kauai from the local guide, who will regale you with stories of the “Garden Island.” The oldest and northernmost island in the Hawaiian chain, Kauai is covered by tropical rainforest, emerald-green valleys and jagged mountains of volcanic origin. It is a gorgeous setting for hiking through the forest.

The trail that you will follow covers about five miles and is immensely picturesque the entire time. As you hike through the lush wilderness, you will gaze out over some of the most extraordinary terrain in Hawaii. You can expect to see thundering waterfalls, primeval mountains and deep valleys, all created by ancient volcanic activity.

Along the way, the guide will point out the most interesting flora and fauna, especially those endemic to Kauai. Embark on a once in a lifetime adventure discovering the volcanic environs of the Reykjanes Peninsula. Board your transportation for a visit to the lava ring/crater of Stóra Eldborg “Big Fire City”. Next, take a short drive to a lava-tube caving experience. Walk over spongy moss and uneven ground, your guide will locate the almost undetectable cave entrance via GPS.

Follow a nature trail through Sitka National Historical Park that showcases totem poles just like the ones that were exhibited at the 1904 World’s Fair. Created in 1910 to commemorate the Battle of 1804 between the Tlingits and the Russians, the forested park is Alaska’s oldest and is rich in history. During the guided walk, you will learn about the many ecosystems in the surrounding rainforest and the unusual tale of how Alaska’s first governor gathered the original totem poles to promote the state. The indigenous Tlingit people carved and painted the totems, which feature stylized human, animal and supernatural forms that are highly symbolic. Some of the totems honor important people or events, such as the Bicentennial Pole of 1976, which was carved under the direction of the park’s first Native American superintendent. When crossing the bridge over Indian Creek, you will hear about the salmon that spawn there each summer.

After a brief orientation on how to use the Mirage Eclipse Pedalboard you will pedal out of the confines of the Harvest Caye Lagoon and will navigate along beautiful mangroves in the Placencia Lagoon. Your guide will point out and explain about the local marine life and how crucial it is to protect the local eco-system, while looking for our resident manatees that come to graze on the sea grass that grows in the area. Cruise through the water silently, easily seeing what’s below from this vantage point. These pedalboards are easy to maneuver and require no previous experience. It's wider than a paddleboard and its hull and handlebars are optimized for stability, with steering control at your fingertips.

A must for nature lovers, this adventure presents the natural wonders within the Bacalar Lagoon; spectacularly picturesque and full of wildlife. Your exploration will begin aboard a four-person raft that the guide will navigate through the freshwater Bacalar Lagoon. Protected on all sides by thick mangrove forest, the waters of the pristine lagoon are typically as smooth as glass and every imaginable shade of blue and green. The ever-changing hues are so captivating that the waterway is known as the Lagoon of Seven Colors. The setting is also extraordinarily serene, as no motorized boats are permitted on the lagoon. As you glide along, you can expect to see all sorts of wildlife, especially water birds. In time, you will stop for lunch and enjoy free time to wander about on your own. Note the beach run can also be done in the regular seat harness that is used for the Lagoon Run Zip for those who prefer to sit.

The Flighthouse tower is adrenaline junkie central. Currently the tallest building in all of Belize it has been specially designed to maximize the stunning views of the island, mainland and surrounding seas to allow you the opportunity to spring into thin air for the thrills of your life.

The flight crew will provide you with equipment and safety briefings covering all the “flight missions”. Once outfitted and briefed, you’ll be transported to your designated flight deck by the Flighthouse elevator and launched into the wild blue wonder!

Your exciting day begins with a scenic narrated drive along the beautiful Hamakua coastline from the cruise ship pier to the rain forest at Botanical World Adventures.

Take an incredible journey by bike through an area of the Hamakua Coast once dominated by Hawai`i’s sugar industry. This adventurous tour makes its way through a segment of the Old Mamalahoa Highway where you are surrounded by green rolling pastures and lush botanical scenery. This once well traveled road takes us back in time as we make our way through old plantation villages, cross over bridges from the early 1900’s and become mesmerized by the abundance of greenery. View beautiful streams and waterfalls originating from the slopes of Mauna Kea as you cross over each bridge.

This ride engages all of our senses with the smells and sounds of the rainforest, the sights of the brightly colored tropical flowers, and the tastes of paradise. Within the botanical gardens you are surrounded with an entourage of foliage from all over the world, as there are fruits in the trees above you, orchids blossoming beside you, and a carpet of grass below you. Before you know it, you are on a treasure hunt to find all the seasonal jewels and gems this amazing botanical garden has to offer. The guides will then transport you by van to their private waterfall on the property for one last amazing photo opportunity!

The experience continues as you journey back to the pier with a stop at Low Store, a family owned treasure since 1925 where you can purchase tropical smoothies and Hawaiian shaved ice. Then continue on the incredible scenic route of Onomea Bay to make a final stop at Big Island Candies, famous for their handmade macadamia nut shortbread cookies dipped in chocolate!

Spend hours exploring the wilds and roads less traveled on Chichagof Island in a Jeep Wrangler designed for outdoor adventure. You will travel along old logging roads that were built to harvest valuable timber such as hemlock, spruce and cedar trees. The route will cut through some of the most spectacular, undeveloped countryside in Alaska. The fifth largest island in the United States, Chichagof lies within the limits of the 17-million-acre Tongass National Forest, America’s largest national forest. The terrain ranges from seaside estuaries to alpine mountain peaks, and you will have plenty of chances to stop and view the gorgeous scenery. With its remote location and limited accessibility, Chichagof is home to some of the animals most often associated with Alaska, including the world’s largest brown bear population, estimated to be three bears per square mile. You might also see bald eagles soaring above, land otters, Sitka black-tail deer and red squirrels.

OVERVIEW
Experience the Damajagua waterfalls in every way imaginable with a local guide leading the adventure. A leisurely hike through a jungle-like landscape will bring you to the waterfalls, whose source is the Damajagua River, a cool mountain stream. This breathtaking natural wonder contains numerous cascades of varying heights, and you will reach about a dozen of them. You will jump off some of the waterfalls, negotiate other ones by sliding down slick rock chutes and swim in the sparkling pools at the base of all of them. Wooden walkways and steps connect many of the cascades, allowing you access that would be impossible otherwise. The river is known for its beautiful blue hue as it spills out of the mountains and carves its way through the rocky terrain. Steep limestone canyons line much of the Damajagua, making the scenery all the more memorable.

Enjoy a 10 minute van ride to the takeoff site. After gearing up with layers, take a fast boat ride to the remote and protected Tatoosh Islands. Have your camera handy for the magnificent scenery and wildlife sighting opportunities on the fast and fun boat ride. Ancient cedars, spruce and western hemlock trees add to the peace and tranquility of the setting as you glide along the wild rocky shoreline. Bald eagles peer down from overhead , while seals often pop up to take a peek. You might spot a deer or mink along the shore or colorful seaweed, kelp, starfish, jellyfish and other inhabitants of the intertidal area.

Other life you might see are humpback whales, sea lions and orca or maybe an eagle catching a salmon from the water! Upon arrival guides will greet you and present a thorough but quick orientation. Get into your double kayak and launch onto the water. Practice your strokes as you approach the sheltered islands, circumnavigate the Tatoosh islands. After the kayak enjoy a fresh baked cookie. No paddling experience is necessary but expect to paddle 3 miles. The tour is operated for a limited number of guests under special use permit with the US Forest Service.

Fly high above beautiful Desert Nest natural preserve on a series of ziplines for the ultimate adrenaline rush. Upon arriving at the residential resort community Cuatro Cuatros, you will be briefed on how to maximize the experience. After being harnessed into the zipline, off you will go on the first of five exhilarating courses that will carry you over a distance of more than two miles. You can expect it to be a nonstop thrill as you race downhill at hair-raising speeds on the dual steel-cable ziplines. Along the way and while pausing on the elevated platforms between the ziplines, you will enjoy a literal bird’s-eye view of the surrounding Guadalupe Valley, one of Mexico’s finest wine-producing regions. After a short shuttle to the beach site and after receiving some safety instructions, you’ll board your stable sit-on-top double kayaks for a fully-guided and narrated shoreline tour. Explore St. Lucia’s amazing underwater world as you snorkel at one of best locations on the island. Float along on the ocean's surface as you discover coral reefs teaming with multi colored fish feeding on plants and algae. Your certified crew will brief you on snorkeling techniques, ocean safety and equipment use. Snorkel equipment such as masks, fins, snorkels and certified snorkel guides are provided. Discover hidden corners, artistic treasures and learn the turbulent history of the city as you pedal through Naples with stops along the way. You'll join your local escort on a short walk through the city center to the bicycle pick-up point, where you’ll meet your bike leader and start your ride. You’ll feel the unique atmosphere of the city, as you pass through the shopping area of Naples. Continue to the seaside and ride on a dedicated bike path while admiring the popular promenade before stopping at Borgo Marinari to see the famous Castle of the Egg with its spectacular waterfront views.

You’ll stop for a refreshment at a local cafe, before proceeding to Piazza del Plebiscito. This noble piazza is one of the most famous square in Naples - flanked by the Royal Palace, San Carlo Opera House and the Church of St. Francis. Pedal onto Piazza Municipio and see the Maschio Angioino with the Castle Nuovo, a grim and gloomy fortress that served as the residence of the kings of Anjou, Aragon, and the Spanish Viceroys.

You will cruise along the beautiful southeastern shore of St. Thomas before arriving at Cruz Bay on the edge of the Virgin Islands National Park. This natural setting couldn’t be lovelier as you will discover by following the one-mile Lind Point Trail to Honeymoon Beach, an easy hike that presents one stunning coastal view after another. The beach is sugar-white, pristine and rimmed by turquoise waters that remain shallow for quite a distance, so you can easily wade out into the sea for a refreshing swim. Feel free to stretch out on a beach towel, stroll along the shore and linger in the shade of a coconut palm. It’s entirely up to you how you spend the time on Honeymoon Beach.

Interact with southern stingrays on a shallow sandbar and observe an abundance of other marine life by snorkeling a barrier reef off Grand Cayman. A scenic cruise along beautiful Seven Mile Beach will bring you to Stingray City, a collection of sandbars teeming with stingrays. These graceful creatures may look somewhat ominous, but they are docile and shy, often burying most of their flat bodies in the sand. While swimming with the stingrays, you might feed them, run your hands over their sandpaper-like skin or simply allow them to brush by. The stingrays that inhabit this particular sandbar are quite friendly and accustomed to sharing the water with people. After cruising to a nearby reef, you will see many of the other marine creatures that live in the crystal-clear waters. Among the most colorful are queen parrotfish, red-and-white striped squirrelfish and silvery yellow French grunts, whose name refers to the noise they make by grinding their teeth.
