    Blue Mountains With Airport Transfer

    This is a Debark tour. Discover the beauty of the countryside outside of Sydney with a trip to the Blue Mountains and enjoy an orientation drive through Sydney.     Whale Watching & Bear Search

    OVERVIEW

    Venture into the pristine wilds to look for iconic Alaskan animals such as humpback whales and grizzly bears in their natural habitats. Your adventure will begin aboard a whale-watching boat accompanied by a naturalist that will describe the creatures that you may soon observe. The nutrient-rich waters here are teeming with humpback whales that come to feed each summer before heading south to their breeding grounds. What a sight to watch these behemoths, which grow to about 50 feet long, as they breach the water’s surface and then dive down to feed again. Chances are, you will also catch sight of porpoises, sea lions and seals. After disembarking, you will drive deep into the remote Spasski River Valley to a raised observation platform to look for brown bears. Bald eagles and Sitka black-tailed deer are also commonly spotted here.

    Next, board an open-air covered boat for a journey along the peaceful Tortuguero Canals, also known as the Caribbean version of the Amazon. Your boat ride offers one of the most exuberant landscapes in Costa Rica, with a rich biological diversity and more than 400 species of trees, 2,000 species of other plants and 60 species of amphibians. Birds common along the canals which you may see include green and great blue herons, egrets, belted kingfishers and jacanas.     Nagoya Castle & Osu Kannon Temple

    Nagoya, Japón

    Visit Nagoya’s iconic namesake castle and an ornate temple dedicated to Kannon, the goddess of mercy. Ieyasu Tokugawa, the first shogun of the Edo Period, ordered the castle’s construction in 1612 to secure the strategically important Tokaido Road. One of the largest castles in Japan, most of its buildings were destroyed during World War II. It was later meticulously reconstructed to resemble the original building, and as you will see it is magnificent. Tokugawa was also instrumental in the placement of Osu Kannon Temple, as he had it moved to its present location in the early 17th century.


    As beautiful as the building is, the temple is more well known for its library of 15,000 Japanese and Chinese texts, the most valuable being the oldest handwritten copy of Japan’s early history. You will also have the chance to shop in a nearby arcade, where you will find merchandise ranging from exquisite kimonos to the latest electronics.

    Note: This tour includes approximately 2.5 hours of walking. At the Honmaru Palace, participants must walk for approximately 0.5 mile from the parking lot to the entrance of the Palace. There are 30 steps to negotiate in order to access the main hall of Osu Kannon Temple, otherwise the surface is flat within the temple precincts. Participants will have free time to explore the shopping arcade. This tour is available to guests who utilize a collapsible wheelchair, can make their way on and off the coach and have a companion to assist them. Casual, weather-appropriate clothing and comfortable, flat walking shoes are suggested. Socks are recommended, as shoes must be removed upon entry to Nagoya Castle Honmaru Palace. The main donjon of Nagoya Castle will be under construction and the entire structure is scheduled to be dismantled from March 2020. Due to the main donjon being unavailable for visits, congestion has been seen at the Honmaru Palace by which tour timings can be affected depending on day of visit. Participants will not be able to see the main donjon of the castle, but will be able to visit the castle grounds and enter the Honmaru Palace. No photography or video is allowed inside Nagoya Castle.

    Island Zipline Adventure

    The Island Zipline Adventure course is a combination of the Osprey Zipline plus the Seahawk Zip to give you six high-flying zips plus a series of V-net bridges, chimney climbs and cargo nets, designed to challenge but not overwhelm your physical and mental strength.     Osprey Zipline

    The Osprey traverse gets its name from the bird of prey that is commonly seen perched on our decks and consist of 3 easy flights. The first flight south is the shortest traverse at 185 feet; it is also the tallest at 120 feet above the ground. We said it was easy, we didn’t say it wouldn’t be scary!


    Start the second flight by be stepping off the platform 75-feet above the ground to soar some 850 feet to next landing perched just 75 feet above the ground.


    Ascending a series of stairs takes you up to your launching pad for the final 900-foot zip to ground level back to where it all started.


    At these heights the air is fresher, the colors are brighter, and the ground has never been so sweet.

    Capybara Encounter & Ocean World Adventure

    OVERVIEW

    Interact with capybaras – highly social, semi-aquatic mammals indigenous to South America – at Ocean World and enjoy the marine park’s other attractions at your leisure. As you will discover firsthand during the capybara encounter, they are cute, cuddly and twice the size of beavers. Chances are, the capybaras will come right up to you. You will notice that their toes are webbed for efficient paddling and that their eyes, noses and hairless ears are on the tops of their heads so they can be aware of their surroundings when mostly submerged. Ocean World offers plenty of other animal encounters. You could see an ever-changing parade of brilliantly colored fish while snorkeling, observe dolphins and sea lions in other areas of the park and come across macaws and toucans while walking through the rainforest. There will also be time for shopping, dining, watching a folkloric dance and swimming in the lagoon and freshwater pool.
