OVERVIEW

Discover the natural beauty of the Veragua Rainforest, called “the cream of the cream of the rainforest” by National Geographic Traveler. Begin with visits to the live reptile and frog exhibits and the colorful butterfly garden before gliding through the treetops on the open-air Sky Gondola. At the riverbank, choose between the flat Trail of the Giants or the optional 350-step hike to the Puma Waterfall. Conclude with a stop at the Rainforest Research Station to learn about conservation efforts, enjoy a snack or meal, and browse the gift shop before returning to the pier.

HELPFUL HINTS

• Wear comfortable, closed-toe walking shoes, light clothing, and bring rain gear, sunscreen, a hat, and insect repellent.
• Bring a camera or binoculars to capture views of sloths, toucans, monkeys, and other wildlife.
• Wildlife sightings are common but not guaranteed.

Need to Know:

Note: Guests must be able to walk approximately 1 km unassisted. Trails are flat and wheelchair-accessible except for the optional Puma Waterfall trail, which includes 350 steps round trip. Guests using walkers or lightweight, collapsible wheelchairs must be able to manage 2–4 steps when boarding the bus; mobility devices will be stored in the luggage compartment for use at the venue. This tour is not recommended for pregnant women or guests with back or neck problems due to bumpy roads. The order of sites visited may vary.
