OVERVIEW

Ride horseback through a pine forested landscape and along the sea, following an equestrian trail that presents the surrounding natural beauty in all its glory. Following a brief orientation to maximize the experience, you will climb atop a horse that has been specially chosen based on your riding ability. The guide will lead the way as you ride along a winding natural trail at a comfortable pace. The scenery north of Melilla is rural and extraordinarily dramatic, so you can expect a memorable ride with occasional stops to take in the gorgeous views and snap photos. You will pass a former military barracks as you head towards Aguadu Cliffs, a rocky promontory that overlooks the sea. The water there has earned a prestigious Blue Flag designation for its clarity and purity. The beaches along this part of the coast are equally inspiring and typically uncrowded due to being somewhat remote.

Need to Know:

Note: Participants must weigh no more than 110 kg (240 lb) and be between 12 and 65 years of age. Guests who are hard of hearing or hearing-impaired must be accompanied by an assistant, friend, or family member at all times. For safety reasons, this excursion is not suitable for guests with back or neck conditions, recent surgeries, asthma, diabetes, epilepsy. Minors must be accompanied by parents. Safety is a priority: helmets and closed-toe shoes are mandatory, and guides’ instructions must always be followed. Comfortable, outdoor-appropriate clothing and long pants are recommended. Guests must treat the horses with respect. Running the horse is only allowed under the guide’s instruction. Riders should maintain a safe speed and distance between horses, avoiding abrupt maneuvers or zigzags.
