The Seahawk is another name for the Osprey bird of prey - and this one is our star attraction: 2,975 feet of open air, over the water ziplining fun! With a starting height of over 110 feet - don't worry, you'll take an elevator to get to the top; the 1,429-foot zip provides awesome views of the beach, reefs and surrounding islands help to distract the thought of launching yourself over the edge into the wild blue yonder.

Once you launch, open your eyes! Take in the blue hues of the Bahamian waters and watch for the marine life as you zip over coral reefs descending lower and lower finally landing adjacent to the Silver Cove lagoon.

Discover the lasting influence of King Kamehameha by exploring sites that were of great importance when he ruled Hawaii. Kamehameha is revered for uniting the Hawaiian Islands into one kingdom in 1810. About a decade earlier, the volcano Hualalai erupted, leaving hardened lava in its wake. While walking atop this rugged landscape, you will see petroglyphs and ingenious fishponds that the early Hawaiians created. Not far off, you will find a lava-rock temple built in the 18th century to fulfill a prophecy that Kamehameha would unite the islands. It is known as House of the Whale for the humpbacks often spotted just offshore. Following a simple lunchbox style meal at a statue of Kamehameha that was erected near his birthplace in Kohala, you will be free to explore Hawi, an artistic community with all sorts of eclectic shops. After a brief orientation on how to use the Mirage Eclipse Pedalboard you will pedal out of the confines of the Harvest Caye Lagoon and will navigate along beautiful mangroves in the Placencia Lagoon. Your guide will point out and explain about the local marine life and how crucial it is to protect the local eco-system, while looking for our resident manatees that come to graze on the sea grass that grows in the area. Cruise through the water silently, easily seeing what’s below from this vantage point. These pedalboards are easy to maneuver and require no previous experience. Cruise through the mangroves around Harvest Caye on a Funcat electric catamaran that allows you to stretch out comfortably on the lounge seat and really enjoy the scenery. The covered catamaran has room for two, so you can be the captain or the passenger. Although you will be briefed on how to operate the catamaran, there’s really not much to it. Just use the controls on the armrest to go forward or backward. Steering is a breeze, too. Best of all, the catamaran is solar-powered, so there are no emissions and little noise from the electric engine. That way, you can come remarkably close to the wildlife without disturbing the animals in the mangrove-lined saltwater estuaries. Water birds are especially prevalent, so look for egrets, teals and ducks. Sail through Bora Bora’s gorgeous lagoon in an intimate deck boat, taking in the island’s astounding natural beauty and then snorkeling through the crystal-clear waters. This is a perfect way to discover the beauty of the Pearl of the Pacific, joining the pleasure of boating in a small group.

Your guide will welcome you onboard this intimate, partially covered deck boat, and you’ll cruise into Bora Bora’s reef-ringed lagoon. The beaches are sugar-white, the water absolutely brilliant, and the lush backdrop of Bora Bora, a veritable Shangri-La. Few places on earth rival this setting. Cruise past Motu Tapu, and see from the distance, one of the most photographed islands in the entire South Pacific. Fly high above the Alaskan wilderness in a helicopter and then cruise to Taku Glacier and walk across its ancient frozen surface. Few outdoor adventures offer such diverse opportunities and spectacular panoramic views. Moments after boarding the helicopter, you will soar above the Tongass National Forest, America’s largest national forest. You will pass over the Juneau Ice Field, Gastineau Channel, and the Taku River on the way to Taku Point, where you will touch down. You will then board a covered airboat and cruise several miles up the river to the Taku Glacier, where you will behold its sheer face from a unique water perspective. The airboat Captain will help you board the covered airboat as you cruise the 5-mile terminus of the only advancing glacier of the Juneau Ice Field. You’ll come within arm’s reach of the ice, and you’ll understand the immense size of this glacier as you stare up at it from the river. The captain will stop in various locations for photos, and to talk about the glacier and the river basin that it has been carved by nature over the years. Back at Taku Point, you’ll again board the helicopter that will take you up, up, up to the top of the Taku Glacier. Step out onto the amazing 4,500-foot-thick ice for a brief glacier landing. You’ll have time for more photos, and your pilot will give you details about the ice field and Taku Glacier. The helicopter will then return you to the airport and the van will return you to the pier.

From the pier, it's a scenic 30-minute drive to the Fa'aroa River, French Polynesia's only navigable river. Upon arrival, you will receive your safety instructions and equipment and then embark your two-person kayak. Led by your guide, you will begin your journey by paddling from Raiatea's fjord-like inlet, or Fa'aroa Gorge, to the scenic Fa'aroa River. As an introduction, you will watch an entertaining film that describes how ancient Polynesians emigrated to the islands on double-hulled canoes using natural phenomena such as stars and ocean currents to guide them across 2,000 miles of open water. After a briefing under a traditional thatched-roof structure known as a hale, you will paddle off into Kahului’s large sheltered harbor. You may be surprised by the stability of the canoe, much of which comes from the attached outrigger hull. To ensure that you maximize the experience, paddlers from a local canoe club will accompany you and describe harbor highlights such as Kahului Beach and Ho’aloha Park. You will also see where King Kamehameha I landed in 1790 in his successful quest to unify the Hawaiian Islands.

Observe the wonders underwater through the completely transparent hull of a boat and then snorkel the crystal-clear waters for another perspective of the marine life. Unlike boats with only see-through bottoms, this one is almost entirely made of clear polycarbonate resin so there is nothing to block your view of life beneath the sea. Even the seating is transparent. Yet the boat is strong and sturdy enough to accommodate an outboard motor so you can easily zip through the water. Snorkel around a coral reef and a U.S. Navy submarine rescue vessel that was scuttled to become an artificial reef after more than 50 years of military service. The USS Kittiwake lies on the bottom of the sea off the coast of Seven Mile Beach, making it easily accessible for snorkeling. Although the water there is about 60 feet deep, the boat’s top deck is only four feet from the surface. You can just snorkel around the top deck or go deeper if you wish. Regardless, you will see an abundance of marine life that typically includes sea turtles, groupers and all sorts of brightly colored tropical fish. The coral reef lies nearby but in much shallower water, which allows you to get an even closer view of the underwater wonders. The more frequently seen fish include yellow snappers, blue tangs and red soldierfish. You may also catch sight of southern stingrays gracefully swimming by.

Whether you are a zipline novice or aficionado, satisfy your need for speed and adventure when you fly and experience the adrenaline-filled ziplines. Your adventure begins at the cruise ship pier, where you’ll be met by your Captain and crew. After a scenic 30 minute bus transfer get ready to board your waiting 60 foot, modern, sailing catamaran. After a short safety briefing, you’ll set sail along the scenic coast of Roatan in stunning turquoise Caribbean waters. During your sail to the snorkeling point, you’ll be fitted with your snorkeling equipment and given safety instructions. There is plenty of room to stretch out on the forward sun deck and ample comfortable shaded seating. There’s also a bar serving soft drinks and purified water before snorkeling. From the pier, you will walk the short distance to the Kayak center where you will receive a safety briefing and kayaking orientation. Following that, you will hop in your two-person kayak and begin your adventure. You'll spend nearly two hours paddling about these pristine waters, delighting in the serenity and joy of being out on the water, as well as having the opportunity to observe the bountiful wildlife that inhabits this wilderness area. Your guide will help you spot animals, explain their habits, and offer all sorts of tidbits to maximize your time kayaking along the shoreline. While there are no certainties regarding what you might observe, humpback whales typically feed along the very same route that you will be traveling. You may see one in the distance breaching the water's surface, waving its fluke before diving, or spy hopping, which is when a whale pokes just its head out of the water to look around. The nutrient-rich waters of Icy Strait are also home to orcas, sea lions, porpoises, sea otters and seals. During your excursion, you will also paddle to an even more serene area, frequented by bald eagles. There are few sights more visually arresting than following the flight of one of these majestic creatures as it rides the wind until swooping down to catch a fish with its talons. After returning to the beach at Icy Strait Point, you will turn in your equipment and head back to the ship, or perhaps visit the nearby Welcome Center.
