Spoil yourself with this Mayan holistic experience, releasing energies and opening up for a spiritual cleanse. Our Xaman will lead you through the process in a unique ceremony with 6 steps:

Feel released and purified with the copal cleansing, an ancient technique the Xaman use to practice to ask for permission to the Mayan Gods to start the ceremony. Feel completely relaxed and purified with the second element, water, and enjoy while the therapist massages your shoulders, up to your neck and head. The third step will take you into the center of the earth; The Temazcal will turn you into a better version of yourself, followed by a clay ritual, then the coconut bath where you can enjoy the beautiful view of the Caribbean Sea while you pamper yourself. The last step will become your favorite, a mystical hammock massage that can only be experienced in Costa Maya.

OVERVIEW

Ride along the coast caravan-style in a customized dune buggy and then relax on a beautiful stretch of sand in the fishing village of Mahahual. You can drive the four-person, open-air dune buggy or ride along as a passenger. Either way, you will enjoy unobstructed views of the gorgeous shore south of Costa Maya. On the way to the beach, you will stop at a Tequila Hacienda where you will participate in a tequila tasting and learn about the process making of this traditional Mexica spirit. The white-sand beaches in this part of Mexico are wide, pristine and uncrowded as you will discover once you hop off the dune buggy to enjoy the tropical setting. You will be free to do most anything you please on the beach. You might stretch out on a towel and bask in the sun, read in the shade of a palm tree and stroll along the coast. The water is typically calm, crystal-clear and ideal for a refreshing swim in the sea. Be sure to take advantage of the included lunch of traditional Mexican dishes.

Ease down a gently flowing river that empties into a glass-smooth lagoon, a wonderfully scenic setting that will leave you immensely relaxed. The spring-fed Bacalar Lagoon is always crystal-clear and its hues are ever-changing, the reason the pristine waterway is nicknamed the Lagoon of Seven Colors. You will glide down the river in an inflatable tube, as an assistance boat gently pulls the group through the pristine waters of the lagoon, ride that will take you past one spectacular natural sight after another, including mangrove forests full of wildlife. Besides the outstanding scenery and abundant water birds, you will see sheet-like rocks called stromatolites. Some of the world's first forms of life were found in ancient stromatolites and these unusual rocks continue to grow today. Although the river current is light, it will be just enough to carry you downstream leave your tube, let your body float in the river for some minutes, you can swim or just let you go and enjoy the experience, after the lazy river-like floating portion, get back to your tube to enjoy another fun-filled boat pull across the lagoon as you reach the shore. After a while, lunch will be served along the shore, a most satisfying end to a day of adventure.

Snorkel one of the newest dive and snorkel destinations on the Mexican coast, Costa Maya. Once reserved for the most ardent divers, it’s now available for beginners and advanced snorkelers alike. This tour was designed to give snorkelers an easy entrance to the water while being able to see an abundance of sea life at depths of between 3 to 20 feet of water. The adventure begins at the pier when your English speaking guide escorts you to the Beach Escape Beach Club. After you have settled in, check in for your preferred tour time, which are available on an hourly basis. You’ll receive snorkel gear and be given an in-depth information and a safety briefing.

Your guide will assist you into the water until you feel comfortable. Experience the incredible array of tropical marine life such as parrot, butterfly and angel fish, and a possible glimpse of an eagle ray. After the snorkeling portion of your tour, you’ll be given free time to relax at the beach club before returning to the ship. This tour includes an open national bar, beach chairs, and kayaks. The Beach Escape is located on the boardwalk of the Fisherman’s Village so don’t miss out on walking around, checking out the sites and getting to know the locals.

Kayak through the crystal-clear waters off the fishing village of Mahahual and then relax at a private beach club that sits on a spectacular stretch of sugar-white sand.

After departing from the pier, you will soon arrive at a beach club in Mahahual, a small fishing village rimmed by sugary, white sand beaches and clear turquoise seas. It’s an ideal, laid-back setting for the leisurely kayaking experience that awaits you.

Upon boarding the two-person kayak, you will head out into the crystal-clear water and enjoy a unique perspective of the coastline and the wonders below through the kayak’s clear bottom. Feel free to paddle along at your own pace, taking in the sights that interest you the most.

Looking back from the typically calm sea, you will gaze out over an idyllic tropical landscape, huge stretches of pristine sand, and coconut palms swaying in the breeze. This is Mexico at its purest, a natural paradise where nothing more ambitious than relaxing is expected of you.

Following your kayaking adventure, you will have the opportunity to enjoy the white sands of the beach club. A complimentary plate of fresh fruit and an icy beverage will provide a great welcome, after which you may relax however your please.

You might take a refreshing swim in the Caribbean, meander along the beach, lie in the sun and admire the tropical scenery or simply sit in the shade with a good book. You may even spend some time shopping before returning to the pier.

Indulge in an expedition deep into the jungle. Enjoy its natural beauty and the ancient mysticism that lies within one of our single driver all-terrain vehicles. Your experienced guide will give you safety instructions and a driving course to fully enjoy the expedition. Enjoy this ride through off-road paths surrounded by tropical vegetation. Once done you’ll be transferred to a Beach Club for a beach break. This includes an open national bar and beach chairs. Guest’s restaurant purchases are additional.

Drive a Jeep Renegade through Costa Maya’s roads to discover the perfect combination of lush jungle, turquoise blue sea, isolated terrain and white sand beaches where you’ll enjoy a Mexican lunch. Hop into your Jeep (4 per car) and caravan through the quiet fishing village of Mahahual to see to see for yourself the striking natural beauty and character of the area! Hold on to your hats as you head along the coast on a bumpy off-road adventure. You will encounter endless stretches of beach spotted with small fishing villages and view a side of the Caribbean that most visitors never get to see. After an hour drive down the coastline you’ll arrive at Explora Beach. The white powder sand and the isolated atmosphere make it a perfect spot to relax and forget the world you’ve left behind. Enjoy a Mexican lunch prepared especially for you then swim in the clear blue water, stroll down the shore Drive back through the exotic terrain until you reach the pier. Tour includes bottled water, soda and lunch on the beach. All Jeeps are automatic. There will be 4 guests per Jeep. Please note that certain medical / age restrictions apply on this tour.

Costa Maya is home to the 2nd largest coral reef system in the world and offers much to explore beneath the surface of the sea. A short transfer from the pier you’ll find the colorful Mayan fishing village of Mahahual and a beautiful beach where you will begin your adventure. Board your glass-bottom boat and head out over the iridescent waters of the Caribbean. Take in the panoramic view of colorful coral reef formations and tropical fish as you travel over a beautiful reef area.

Once you admire the reef from above, jump in and follow your certified guide past colorful fish and coral formations on an inspiring snorkel tour. The small group size ensures personal attention so you can relax and discover the wonders of the underwater world with your helpful guides nearby. Afterwards you will have time to enjoy on the beach before returning to the ship.

Don’t miss the extraordinary experience of gliding through Costa Maya by Segway. You’ll receive an introduction and orientation followed by one to one fun training. Once you are confident with your Segway, you’ll ride along the beach front of this resort town of the Mexican Caribbean. Enjoy the best views of the heart of Costa Maya while discovering the local flavor of this charming town.

A refreshment stop on route will allow you to take a break to admire the stunning blue waters. Just before heading back to your ship you’ll enjoy a relaxing time at one of the nicest beach clubs in the area; sip a cool beverage, swim in the ocean or just lay down at the beach. Taxi transportation will take you back to the pier.
