Once there, your guide will escort you through the ruins giving a complete narration along the way. See the restored temples and some of the mysterious hieroglyphic writings still visible today. Visit the temple of the frescos, famous for the detailed carved figures and original paints. And perched on the edge of the Caribbean and rising high above all of the other ruins is “El Castillo” with its breathtaking view of the aqua-colored water below.

Hop on our classic-like trolley bus for an enjoyable and fun way to visit the highlights of downtown Cozumel and have some spare time for strolling and shopping by the main square.

After meeting your guide at the pier, you will board your trolley and enjoy the sightseeing as well as the entertaining narrative about Cozumel's fascinating history. Visit key points of the city such as the Church of the Cross. It was built in 2018 to commemorate the 500th anniversary of the first mass celebrated on the island – and in Mexico.

Your experience begins with a refreshing natural drink as your Seaguard guide welcomes you. Each of our Seaguards is a highly trained expert on issues relating to dolphins and the oceans. After a brief orientation where you will receive your towel & locker key for its use during your stay at the facility, follow your Seaguard to embark on an ocean voyage and explore the depths of the sea alongside a dolphin friend.

Your Seaguards will then guide you to the dolphin habitat as your 40-minute swim begins in the deeper waters of our lagoons. The trainer will give you insight into how dolphins communicate and behave.

Next you will communicate with the dolphins in their own personalized way. Put on your dark-lens goggles and float face-up in the water. With your ears submerged, you’ll be able to hear first-hand how the dolphins talk underwater via sonar… an experience you won’t find above the surface! Afterwards, you can deepen your bond by placing your hand over the dolphin’s heart to feel its heartbeat, giving you an even more profound understanding of how humans and animals are so closely connected.

Then hold on tight for the famous belly ride! Savor a pairing of tacos and tequilas that highlights Mexico’s traditional food and spirit. UNESCO added Mexican cuisine to its list of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity because it involves so many ritual practices, techniques and ancestral customs. The taste is even more impressive as you will discover by sampling three distinctly different types of tacos. Tacos Dorados are unique in that the corn tortillas are stuffed with spiced meat and then fried until crispy. Conchinita Pibil tacos originated on the Yucatan peninsula and feature juicy smoked pork topped with onions and achiote sauce. You will also likely sample Tacos de Guisado – the so-called King of Tacos – which are made with savory stewed ingredients ranging from steak to vegetables. The tacos will be thoughtfully paired with tequilas that complement their flavors. The Barracuda Beach Club on the island’s northwestern shore will be the venue for the barefoot cookout and day at the beach. Upon arrival, you will be served a welcome drink of Xtabentún, a honey and anise-flavored liqueur synonymous with the Yucatan peninsula. You will then learn how to prepare Tikin Xic-style fish. The fish – usually a firm white fish such as grouper or snapper – is traditionally marinated in achiote sauce, wrapped in plantain leaves and cooked in an earthen oven. OVERVIEW

Observe the wonders underwater through the completely transparent hull of a boat and then snorkel the crystal-clear waters for another perspective of the marine life. Unlike boats with only see-through bottoms, this one is almost entirely made of clear polycarbonate resin so there is nothing to block your view of life beneath the sea. Even the seating is transparent. Yet the boat is strong and sturdy enough to accommodate an outboard motor so you can easily zip through the water. You will pass over shipwrecks and coral reefs teeming with colorful fish before pausing at a sand bar that attracts huge numbers of red-cushion starfish, the largest species of starfish in the Caribbean Sea. Snorkeling will offer an even closer look at the bountiful marine life off Cozumel. Spend the day luxuriating at a waterfront resort where everything you could possibly need will be included. It won’t take long to reach the resort, leaving you more time to enjoy its abundant amenities. Being directly on the Caribbean Sea, its big draw is the wide, powdery beach and the crystal-clear waters that rim it. You could spend the whole time right there, doing nothing more ambitious than basking in the sun, lying on the beach, and taking the occasional dip in the sea.
