Once you pass Lower Manhattan, you will cruise past Ellis Island and on to the Statue of Liberty, where the boat will pause long enough for you to take close-up photos of this inspiring beacon of freedom and hope. The bus will follow a route that also presents one landmark after another, including Times Square, the Empire State Building and Central Park, the urban oasis that famed landscape architect Frederick Law Olmsted co-designed in 1858. Experience scenic Costa Rica while touring a rainforest in the Estrella Valley and enjoy a visit to Bocuare Jungle for lunch and a swim. A scenic drive will take you past quaint towns and plantations en route to the rainforest. Join a guided hike to explore this unique ecosystem, cross a lagoon on a hanging bridge, view plantations and other stunning flora. Over 115 different bird species have been spotted here. You’ll visit the site of an old sugar mill and learn how sugar cane is processed, help in the extraction and sample the sweet results. Upon arrival you can take a swim or lounge by the pool, enjoy a typical Costa Rican lunch, and browse for souvenirs before returning to the port.

OVERVIEW

Enjoy a panoramic drive around Willemstad with stops to see how Blue Curaçao liquor is produced and to spend hours relaxing at the beach. Willemstad is a UNESCO World Heritage site acclaimed for its colonial architecture and European-style layout, and you will see many of its attractions. Among them are the Queen Emma pontoon bridge and High Street Otrabanda, a former neighborhood of stately homes that wealthy Jewish merchants built in the 1800s. After Crossing the Juliana bridge you will Passing through ‘’ The Old Jewish Neighborhood’’ befor heading to,the island’s namesake liqueur is made from a variety of orange only found on Curaçao, and you will see how it’s made at Landhuis Chobolobo. You will be spending a few hours of free time at Mambo Beach. Besides being one of the most spectacular stretches of sand on the island, the beach is lined with an array of restaurants and shops, so there is truly something for everything.

Hop aboard the hemisphere's first transcontinental railroad and see the Panama Canal from the comfort of a deluxe 1938 vintage car. During your journey you’ll travel across the isthmus and see Gatun Lake. Then, visit Agua Clara Locks Observation Center (Expansion Locks) for an up close look at this engineering marvel.

You’ll board your transportation for a short drive to Colon and board this unique train. Reminiscent of the golden age of railway travel, the passenger cars feature luxurious wood paneling, tables, carpeted floors, air conditioning, large windows and open-air viewing decks. You’ll ride in a restored executive rail car with booth seating on one side and rows of two seats with small tables on the other. Your car has a restroom and shares a small open-air observation deck with the dome car and glass dome viewing area.

You’ll leave the Colon station on an approximately one-hour train ride to the Pacific terminus of the Panama Canal, passing Gatun Lake and the dense rainforest. During your railroad journey, your guide will provide commentary on the railroad, history and the canal, as you enjoy a light snack and beverage. Upon arrival in Panama City, you’ll transfer to the Agua Clara Locks Observation Center (Expansion Locks) where you’ll have the opportunity for a close up view.

Cruise the winding Monkey River, looking for wildlife in the surrounding rainforest, and then enjoy a hike with a naturalist that will explain the plants' medicinal uses.

After departing from the pier, you will soon arrive at a small village near the mouth of the Monkey River, where you will begin a leisurely cruise upstream. Along the way, the guide will provide enlightening commentary about the region's history, including how the economy boomed in the late 19th century when large volumes of bananas were exported.

Little evidence of that thriving time period remains, as the meandering Monkey River is bordered by undeveloped rainforest. Natural beauty and remarkably diverse flora and fauna are now the main attractions.

You can expect to see a variety of wildlife, including crocodiles sunning on the riverbanks, turtles popping their heads above the water's surface, and iguanas perched in the tree limbs. You might even spot a troop of black howler monkeys screeching in the forest.

Tropical birds are just as abundant along the river, especially wading birds such as herons, brightly colored tanagers and keel-billed toucans, the national bird of Belize. Toucans are easy to spot because of their large, colorful bills and how they croak like frogs.

Once you disembark, you will hike through the surrounding forest while the naturalist guide points out plants with medicinal qualities. For instance, leaves of the soursop are often brewed into a tea that reduces fever, and the wild yam has anti-inflammatory properties.

Your tour begins with a scenic drive along the coast to a small town known as St. Ann’s Bay. View the sights from your comfortable coach as your guide narrates the history and provides interesting facts about Jamaica. Observe the town’s classic Statue of Columbus, honoring his landing here. Continue to Fern Gully, a gorge filled with hundreds of varieties of ferns.

Visit Konoko Falls and Park, the Taino Indians called this Paradise and you’ll see why these original inhabitants choose this as a settlement site. You’ll hear the roar and feel the fresh mist of the spray from the spectacular waterfall. Follow the trails with your guide through this amazing rainforest. Visit the museum which features artifacts from the original inhabitants and early colonials that were excavated on site.

Stop at the colorful gift shop offering native products and handicrafts before re-boarding your coach. Board the Alcatraz ferry and sail to the notorious prison that once housed the likes of Al Capone and the Birdman of Alcatraz. During your ferry ride, enjoy a panoramic view of the famous San Francisco skyline. Upon arrival, you'll tour the small jail cells as the audio narration brings you back to days gone by.

You'll return to San Francisco by ferry and board your motorcoach for a journey across the Golden Gate Bridge. After a stop at Vista Point for a fabulous view of the city, it’s a short ride into charming Sausalito. Here, take a stroll and browse some of the specialty shops or galleries.

Discover Puerto Vallarta´s charming Downtown and Oldtown districts with the help of your friendly, bilingual guide. You´ll ride in air conditioned comfort to the center of downtown where you´ll have a chance to stroll the length of our Malecon (seawall) to see our collection of sculptures by local and international artists.

You´ll visit the main square, where your guide will take you through the Church of Our Lady of Guadalupe and keep you entertained and informed along the way. Enjoy a stroll down the Cuale River Island's colorful garden pathway. Re-board the coach briefly to ride to our refreshment/restroom and shopping stop. Complimentary beverages are offered as well as free tequila tastings, as you shop or observe the local artists at work. Afterward, we'll make the short walk to Vallarta's newest attraction, Mosaic Park, which has become one of the most impressive collections of urban art, anywhere. The entire area shimmers and sparkles with Mexican themes, covering everything from the columns to the benches. We'll spend about 40 minutes there, before returning directly to the ship.
