Is there a cigar lounge or somewhere nice to smoke on the Breakaway?

We're hoping there are nice places to enjoy a cigar, rather than some designated little corner where people go to get their nicotine fix. I thought I read somewhere that it had a cigar lounge called the Humidor, but I don't see one on the deck plan.
Asked by: folsoms
The Humidor cigar bar is located mid-ship on deck 8

Booked spa mini suite 14168 and am concerned about noise from pool area above will this be a problem?

Asked by: hwalters
There can be some noise from the deck above but it again depends on the exact location of your stateroom. If you have concerns you can talk to your NCL sales rep or travel agent and get another stateroom.

Are Velvet and Rock of Ages kid friendly?

Asked by: GrandOf3
Rock of Ages is definitely not kid friendly. Vulgar language, sexual content and very scantily clad women. That said it was a good show overall though.

The Saints are playing in the NFL playoffs on Sunday January 20th at 2 o'clock. Where are we going to meet up to watch?

What bars / areas will have the Saints vs Rams game on the TV?
Asked by: Medgasman
The game probably will be broadcast in most of the bars, and almost certainly will be on the screens at O'Sheehan's on Deck 7. The game also may be seen on your stateroom TV.

Sleeping arrangements

We have booked the sailaway package. We also need 2 separate beds but there doesn't seem to be a option now since the ship chooses our room and deck location for us. How can I get 2 separate beds ? Marilyn
Asked by: Greymom
Usually they have the beds as separate and combine it if there is a Mr & Mrs staying in the room. If your beds are not separate, just ask your stateroom steward to separate the beds. They will separate it and bring the blankets for the beds.

Library Book Selection

Has anyone seen the selection of books in the library? I don't want to lug books with me on the cruise. I will be bringing my iPad with me, but prefer actual books. Has anyone actually checked out the library on this ship and able to give me any insight on the book selection?
Asked by: KRLAFRANCE
The library has a good selection of books on a range of topics but I prefer to use the library as a quiet place to read my e-books rather than use the books there.

I read that it can take two hours to disembark at ports and that you should plan on being on board two hours before sailing time. Is that correct?

if your time in each port is around 8 hours, that would mean you would only be at the port for around four hours. Not very much time for touring, or am I misinformed?
Asked by: mrsgates70
At most ports the disembarkation process takes much less than two hours. If you have a shore excursion booked through NCL you will be given priority in exiting the ship. Back on board time usually is 30 minutes prior to sailing time, and if your tour is late returning the ship will be held until you get back. If you tour on your own and are late getting back to the ship, you run the risk of being left behind. The two-hour time frame you mentioned applies only to the first day of embarkation and the final day disembarking from your cruise.

Do you have drinking water fountain on each deck?

Asked by: WaterDude
The only place I have seen a drinking fountain is on the pool deck. There may be a few others around on some other decks but it is certainly not available on every deck. The water in your stateroom is safe to drink. It is the same water that you will get at a water fountain and is used in restaurants, bars and the ships galley.

The coffee maker doesn't use K-cup coffee pods but use the regular coffee filter pods. As far as the brand, they used to exclusively have Lavazza but on some ships they have other brands like Starbucks etc.

What is the dress code for the main dining rooms

Is there a specialty night where you are required to dress up and can you dress casual in the main dining rooms?
Asked by: Whiskeygrl
You are cruising Freestyle. Formal clothes are not required on NCL. You can wear "smart casual" clothes to the specialty dining rooms and the main dining rooms. There are no formal nights but they do have "Dress up or not" nights where formals are suggested (but not required). However, if you plan to have family portraits taken with the Captain, formals would be nice. http://www.ncl.com/freestyle-cruise/prepare-for-your-cruise/what-to-pack http://www.ncl.com/faq#packing

are there electrical outlets on the balcony

Asked by: Latch
There are no electrical outlets outside on your balcony. The outlets usually are located at the dressing table, near the foot of the bed. If you want to plug in a device near the head of the bed or on the balcony, you should plan to bring with you an extension cord of 15 to 20 feet in length.

Breakaway Feb.7 - 17

Every night your stateroom steward will put the newsletter with the activities and events for the next day in your stateroom. You can also view the activity list on the touch screen displays around the ship. NCL also has an app for your phone that will list the daily activities.
