Is there a weight limit on the Pullman bed?

Asked by: Krs10
You will have to call and check with NCL on the bed ratings. I'm sure it can support at least 250 lb.

We have a balcony room on Deck 9. Will it have a hair dryer, curling iron, iron and ironing board or access to one?

Asked by: Vach
All staterooms have a mini-fridge. The fridge is stocked with mini-alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. You can ask the cabin steward to clear the items in the fridge if you need to use it for medication or other uses. Due to fire hazard issues, the staterooms do not have clothes iron and you are not allowed to bring irons on board the ship. However, you can request the Guest Services Desk or the cabin stewards they will be happy to bring you an iron and ironing board for a few hours.

Where are the laundry rooms located?

Asked by: Lightnin
There are no self-service laundries. All ships offer laundry, dry clean & pressing services. They have laundry bags in your stateroom that you can give to the cabin stewards. Usually around the middle of the cruise they offer discounts on the services. However, I wouldn't use it for any delicate or expensive dresses.

We are a family of 4 in a mid-ship balcony room. If we have a total of 4 luggages and 4 backpacks, will it all fit in the closet?

Asked by: Sarashley1
hate to be the bearer of bad news, but to answer your question, probably not enough room. there is however enough space under the beds for 2 normal sized suitcases (28"). you should be able to evenly distribute the other items around the room. There will definitely be enough space for at least 3

If I sign up for an upgrade to a balcony room and to an oceanview, how can I show my 1st choice

My 1st choice is Balcony
Asked by: garceaj
you can make life very easy for yourself, if you just check which cabins are still available, call norwegian or go to ncl.com and just see if you can upgrade your cabin. if it's available, and you want to pay the price difference, you can do it then. if youre tossed between the balcony and the oceanview, I recommend the balcony.

Are there Captains dinners on our 13 day cruise?

Asked by: Mawalker
NCL does not offer traditional Captain's Dinners on any of its cruises. There usually will be one or more nights per cruise when the Captain will be available for photos with passengers. This usually will be on a "dress up or not" night" when passengers are encouraged, but not required, to wear their finest. NCL does offer a benefit to frequent passengers of having dinner with an officer once per cruise. This could be with the Captain, but it more likely would be with the Chief Engineer, General Manager, or some other senior officer.

WHAT IS A STATEROOM CATEGORY 1F

Asked by: CRISL
The I stands for Inside, a stateroom in the interior of the ship without a balcony or window. The sub-category F indicates that it is one of the lowest priced, and hence least desired, Inside staterooms. The IA through IE staterooms typically are more desirable and more expensive than IF. It likely is on a lower deck, perhaps near an area of high traffic or noise. Other than the IX category, which does not include any of the Free At Sea promotion packages, the IF staterooms usually are the least expensive cabins on the ship.

Does the pearl have its own haven dinning room

Asked by: Bigswitty
Unfortunately, no. Larger ships such as the Epic and the Breakaway class ships do have separate dining rooms for Haven guests. On the smaller ships such as the Pearl, however, the Haven staterooms were added during refurbishment, and there simply was no place to fit in a Haven dining room. Haven guests do have an exclusive place for breakfast and lunch in one of the specialty restaurants, but dinner is served in the main dining rooms and specialty restaurants, which are open to all passengers.

Sailing on the Pearl. Which bars are open as you board before the rooms are open? Can you get room service the day of embarkation?

Asked by: RadNana
Most of the bars will be open, but in some ports the local regulations restrict the ship to having only one open bar per deck. Room service is available on the day of embarkation, usually beginning late in the afternoon, following the mandatory safety drill.

How are the beds for a family of 4 configured in the Family Picture Window cabin?

Asked by: IngaAli
The queen-sized bed in the room is actually two twin sized beds pushed together. Two guests will sleep there. The third and fourth passengers each will have a Pullman-style bed that folds down from the wall. Your stateroom attendant will make up the beds each evening and fold away the Pullmans each morning. There is a ladder stored in the closet to assist you in climbing into the upper berths. It's easier to reach the upper beds if the lower beds are separated and pushed against the walls, leaving an aisle down the middle of the room.

What does "privasea" mean in regards to a stateroom? We have room 10012 abord The Pearl.

Asked by: nursejayne
Privasea is NCL's term to describe a Balcony stateroom for which the hull of the ship forms a sort of frame around the balcony opening, leaving an opening about four feet high and six feet wide. If you look a the photo of the ship above you can see that the first few balcony staterooms on each of the upper decks near the front of the ship appear to have a smaller opening that those further back. The reason for this is that balconies near the front are more susceptible to the effects of wind and waves, so the hull frame around the balcony opening is designed to reduce the splashing of water spray and the turbulence of high winds.

Is there underbed storage for suitcases on the Norwegian Pearl, deck 5, midship? If so, will a 30 inch fit

Asked by: Anonaymous
The storage space under the bed is wide enough for a 30 inch suitcase to fit. There may be a problem with the thickness, however. There seems to be about 7 or 8 inches of clearance under most beds, so you may need to leave your suitcase opened, butterfly style.
