Company Participates in Home Renovation for a U.S. Military Veteran Family and Surprises Them with a Dream Vacation Aboard One of Its Award-Winning Vessels

NCL Recently Announced a New Military Appreciation Program Honoring U.S. Military Members with an Exclusive Offer and Onboard Experiences

In continuation of its commitment to supporting military veterans and their families, Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL), the innovator in global cruise travel, partnered with “Military Makeover” airing on Lifetime TV with host Montel Williams to honor deserving veteran, Jonathan Thomas and his family, with a home remodel and cruise vacation.

In the two-part episode, David Herrera, who served in the U.S. Army National Guard and is the chief consumer sales and marketing officer for Norwegian Cruise Line, along with several of NCL's veteran team members flew to North Carolina to repair the Thomas' kitchen, repurpose old cabinetry and create a new coffee bar area for the family. To further honor the Thomas family and thank them for their service, Norwegian Cruise Line surprised them with a seven-day cruise vacation to the Caribbean on one of NCL's award-winning ships. The complete first episode featuring the NCL team in action is available here, and the final home reveal and surprise cruise vacation giveaway can be watched here

The organization's ongoing pledge to support the U.S. military veteran community is amplified by the Company's recently launched, and first-ever, Military Appreciation Program (MAP). The landmark initiative recognizes active and retired U.S. military members, and their spouses, with special onboard experiences, amenities and cruise fare discounts across the Company's 18-ship fleet.

All active, retired military veterans and their spouses are eligible to receive a 10% discount on their cruise fare for all sailings beginning on Jan. 1, 2023. The ongoing offer can be combined with the Company's guest-favorite Free At Sea offer, which provides guests the opportunity to design their dream vacation with free airfare, unlimited open bar, specialty dining, Wi-Fi and more delivering a value up to $3,450.

Created for veterans and by veterans, the program is meant to meaningfully honor military veterans by offering exclusive experiences and recognition on board, including a welcome reception and special amenities such as a collectible military challenge coin, pins to designate program participation and collectible patches customized for each ship in the NCL fleet.
