The setting for this adventure will be the Sleeping Giant Zipline Fiji, an eco-friendly park in the rainforest. The thrills will begin in earnest once you areharnessed into the first zipline and step off the elevated platform into thin air. Feel free to scream as you fly like a bird between towering trees, over the tropical landscape and across a river. Each of the seven ziplines will present a different experience, but all of them will be an adrenaline rush. The mood will change dramatically as you follow the guide on a spectacularly scenic hike through the jungle, where you will likely see colorful birds such as parrots. Walk through the fields of an organic farm to see how the produce is grown and sample herbal teas at the on-site restaurant. The venue for this farm-to-table immersion will be Tukuni, an acclaimed restaurant that serves Indo-Fijian cuisine. The ingredients for every dish are locally sourced from Tukuni’s own farm, other organic farms and local fishermen. Not a single raw material is imported so as to protect the Fijian suppliers that were severely affected by the Category 5 cyclone that devastated Fiji in 2016. Tukuni not only wants to inspire Fijians to produce and preserve their own natural foods but also to encourage visitors to do the same once they return home. To this end, you will watch a demonstration of a solar dryer that eliminates moisture from fruits and vegetables so they can be readily available year-round. You will sample the farm’s organic teas while learning about solar dehydration.

OVERVIEW

Spend hours blissfully enjoying the offshore club Seventh Heaven, a floating paradise with remarkable amenities. Even the cruise there will be heavenly as the tropical scenery will be picture perfect the entire way. Once you disembark, you will be free to do whatever you please. If you want nothing more than to bask in the sun, day beds are available or you could just stretch out on the open decks. There are also plenty of shaded areas, an open-air bar with live music and a casual restaurant for your lunch – all on a slice of heaven floating on the turquoise sea. Although you can see the shore from Seventh Heaven, it will seem like a world of its own. You can spend the whole time at the club or jump into the ocean to swim and snorkel in the crystal-clear waters. You could also explore on one of the kayaks.

OVERVIEW

Observe a variety of indigenous Fijian wildlife by following the paths that wind through the forested Kula Eco Park. As you stroll the wooden boardwalks and through enclosures that replicate natural habitats, you will see an abundance of tropical parrots, water birds, reptiles and marine creatures. The flora is also native to Fiji, which gives the park a look and feel that is completely natural. You may spot brightly colored lorikeets, tropical butterflies, hawksbill sea turtles and Fiji flying foxes, the only mammal indigenous to the island. The park is also renowned for its critically endangered iguana breeding program and the world’s first captive birth of a Kadavu musk parrot. Seeing this crimson-red, green-winged, blue-naped bird up close is quite the experience. Following your nature walk through the park, you will spend free time shopping in the town of Nadi. Merchandise ranges from exquisite jewelry to wood handicrafts.
