Experience one of the most stunning, scenic train rides in North America aboard an Alaska Railroads railcar from the Seward cruise ship dock to the Anchorage Hospitality Center.


Just steps from the cruise ship terminal in Seward, you’ll be welcomed aboard your Alaska Railroad Cruise Train bound towards Anchorage Hospitality Center. You’ll travel along the Coastal Classic Route on this 4 1/2 hour picturesque journey. Your train pulls from Seward, skirting the edge of picturesque Kenai Lake, before rising into a waterfall-laced mountain valley offering a stunning view of Trail Glacier.


The tracks wind through a series of mountain tunnels and past Bartlett and Spencer Glaciers before emerging along the coastline of Turnagain Arm. Here, dramatic views of steep mountains plunging into the sea before the train pulls into the Anchorage Hospitality Center. The Anchorage Hospitality center is located in the heart of town with restaurants and shops conveniently nearby.


Need to Know:

Note: **Please be advised if you are booked on a Cruisetour you are not able to take the Cruisetrain also ** Participants are to disembark by 6:00am. This tour is offered for guests with flights after 5pm only. Guests will be directed to a motorcoach to take them to the downtown hospitality center where their luggage will be held until their departure for the airport. Shuttles to the airport will depart the hospitality center every hour from 3pm until 10pm. The shuttle ride is included in the price of the excursion. Guests have the option to book their flights through our Premium Air Department to ensure that flight departure times do not interfere with debark transfer. Debark shore excursions will only be available to book 50 days prior to sailing. To avoid air ticketing conflicts, air must be ticketed before the debarkation shore excursion can be booked. This applies to independent air and air booked through NCL.
