A walking tour of the lively city of Cork and a stop for Guinness at a traditional pub is a perfect way to enjoy the charms of Ireland. Your guided tour enables you to discover the rich historical past of this vibrant city.
Travel to Cork by coach and start your walk at St. Patrick’s Quay. Crossing the first of many bridges, pass Father Matthew’s statue before entering the delightful French Quarter.
You'll stop at the English market, cross the Grand Parade and visit Bishop Lucey Park, opened in 1985 as part of the city’s 800th birthday celebration. A highlight of your walk is a visit to the magnificent St. Fin Barre’s Cathedral, designed in mini-Gothic style by William Burgess. You’ll pass Rory Gallangher Plaza, Crawford Art Gallery and the Opera House in the heart of Cork before stopping at a traditional Irish pub. Take the opportunity to sample a Guinness, the national drink of Ireland.
