Are there any areas for stargazing?

Booked an Alaska trip and one draw was to see the northern lights, are there any areas of the ship where lights are off or dimmed so people can see the night sky?
Asked by: b14793
For safety reasons the lights on the ship remain on at night. You may be able to find an area on deck that has less glare than others, but unfortunately there really are no locations where it is dark enough for a quality star gazing experience. Also, Alaska cruises are mostly in the Summer months, while the Northern Lights are more prominent during the Winter.

Does Bliss have mid-ship inside cabins on Deck 9. When I click on inside cabin it says forward, aft & mid-ship, but deck plan shows only forward.

Picture of Deck 9 of the Bliss only shows forward inside cabins and a lot of open space down the middle of the deck, but when I click on Inside Cabin as my choice is says they are in forward, aft and mid.
Asked by: Charpa
Other decks have Inside staterooms fore, mid, and aft, but only forward on Deck 9.

Traveling on Oct 2021 to Alaska... Will the pools be too cold to use? Heated?

Are pools a NoNo in Oct? Any suggestions for excursions for the Bliss on Alaska??
Asked by: jocel
In the past, NCL pools usually have been heated to a temperature in the mid 70s, while the hot tubs are heated to about 100 degrees Fahrenheit. Keep in mind, however, that the deck area could be quite cold and windy, so using the pools may not be desirable. NCL offers many great shore excursions in Alaska to suit most any interest. Whale watching while in Juneau or Icy Straight Point is always fun. The White Pass & Yukon Railway in Skagway provides excellent scenic views. The lumberjack show in Ketchikan is a real hoot. There also are walking tours in most of the port cities that can provide great fun while exploring the frontier towns.

Solo traveler not solo cabin

I booked a Balcony cabin for a solo cruise and was wondering if there is a way to reserve dining and entertainment for just one person?
Asked by: Kansan
The process is the same for one person as it is for several traveling together. Reservations for the main dining rooms are not required. You simply choose a time, go to the restaurant, check in with the hostess, and take the next available table. There may be a brief wait during popular dining times. You usually can be seated sooner if you are willing to share a table with another passenger, but if you prefer to dine alone, they will be happy to accommodate you. Reservations for specialty restaurants and entertainment may be made in advance by using your "My NCL" account online or by phoning the NCL Reservations Department. In the past NCL would begin accepting reservations after the due date for your final payment. The time frame may be different when cruising resumes, so check the terms of your reservation by using your "My NCL" account. You also can make reservations on board. Stop by the Guest Services Desk, Dining Reservations Desk, or Theater Box Office early in your cruise for best selection.

Are there specialty cocktail menus available?

Checking to see if they make the Lavendar Patch martini on the Bliss.
Asked by: Sltowning
Unfortunately, NCL does not publish their cocktail menus. You may be able to find what you need by searching the internet for "NCL cocktails." Many passengers take pictures of food and beverage menus while sailing and post them online.

Do you know when the cruises will come back?

Some idea about when the cruises will come back?
Asked by: adrieltiti
NCL currently plans to resume cruising with most of its ships on June 1, 2021. The date is subject to governmental approval, based upon recommendations from the CDC or other medical authorities. Please keep in mind that the date for returning to sailing has been pushed back a month or so at a time on several occasions already, so it is possible that the June date may have to be delayed, as well. Unfortunately, at this point it is impossible to state with absolute certainty when sailing will resume. Persons wishing to cruise probably should book more than one sailing date, and perhaps more than one itinerary, spread out over several months in the last half of 2021 or even into 2022. Hope for the best, expect further disappointments, be prepared for cancellations, and be flexible.

What's the noise level like in 8th Floor rooms? I'm planning to be in stateroom 8738

It is our first time being on the same floor as restaurants, plus I am noticing all the adjoining rooms on this floor. Can someone share their experience?
Asked by: Cbrown22
Your stateroom is almost directly above the theater stage. Although the ship's design includes a great deal of insulation and noise abatement processes, you definitely will be able to hear sounds from the theater anytime it is in use.
