Tour share from Le Havre to Paris

My wife and I are on t he 14 day cruise on the Escape boarding may 15th 2020. The NCL tours from Le Havre to Paris seem to be strictly a bus ride to and from Paris. Are there any other cruisers that may be interested in a private tour? The cost is prohibitive when there are only 2 to 4 people
Asked by: Bigdaddy1
You may want to login to the Cruise Critic website and find the "roll call" for your cruise. Cruise Critic members frequently exchange hints and tips on tours, and sometimes they set up independent tours for their members. NCL often makes favorable mention of Cruise Critic in its post-cruise surveys, so you may be able to find some other interested passengers there.

Promenade deck on Escape?

Is there a promenade to walk around the whole ship on the Escape? The Pearl has one, for example.
Asked by: AlyC
The Waterfront on Deck 8 goes almost all the way around the ship. When you reach the front, you will have to go inside and walk past the forward elevator lobby to reach the other side of the ship to resume your walk.

Dress code for specialty restaurants?

We have cruised before but did not go to any specialty restaurants. Do we have to dress nicer? We don't like to dress up on vacation and getting my husband out of a tshirt will be tough. We would not look bad but just in shorts or jeans and a nice tshirt. Does he need a collar? Thanks!
Asked by: conniehar
NCL does have a dress code and it is posted at the entrance to each specialty restaurant. It calls for collared shirts for men, along with slacks or dressy jeans and closed-toe shoes. NCL staff do not seem to enforce the dress code rigidly, however. We sometimes have seen men wearing designer t-shirts as well as shorts or sandals. For full information on the dress code, please see this link: https://www.ncl.com/faq#!#what-clothes-should-i-pack

in the 2 bedroom haven is the bed in the smaller bedroom able to be coverted so that my son n daughter in law can sleep on iy

Asked by: evie23
We have visited some friends who were traveling in a Haven Two Bedroom stateroom. My best recollection of the room layout is that the sofa in the second bedroom can be made up into a twin sized bed. There also is a Pullman style bed which pulls down from the ceiling for the the other passenger in the room. If you click on the Staterooms link above to view a floor plan and sample photos of the Haven Two Bedroom Suite, you can see that the floor plan seems to confirm my memory of the room.

will balcony doors on cabins 12802 thru 12792 open so we can go room to room without having to go out in the hall?

Asked by: sipe
Unfortunately, no. For safety reasons, the balcony dividers must remain locked in place except when crew members open them briefly for maintenance and cleaning of the balconies. Passengers are prohibited from opening them or using them to pass from one stateroom to another.

What is the legal drinking age on board?

Asked by: LiaZEEEE
Passengers must be 21 years of age or older to purchase or consume alcohol. With the exception of Alaska and Hawaii itineraries, Norwegian permits young adults to purchase and personally consume wine and beer only while onboard and with the consent of an accompanying parent. Authorization will be given only when the accompanying parent completes the Young Adult Alcoholic Beverage Waiver form. This form can be obtained and completed at the Guest Services Desk upon embarkation of the vessel. However, passengers 18 years of age or older are permitted to consume beer and wine when sailing on round-trip European and Australian voyages without having to complete the Young Adult Alcoholic Beverage Waiver form.

How often do the shows and other entertainment change on a ship?

If I sailed the Escape in 2019, will it be the same shows, music, comedy, etc in 2020? 2021?
Asked by: Starla18
The principal production shows in the main theater usually are under contract for two or three years at a time. The cast members may cycle in and out over the run of the show, but the production will continue for several years before a new show is brought on board. Many of the lounge acts have contracts which only run for a few months at a time, so those shows will change more frequently.

Can you carry on a backpack in addition to 2 pieces of luggage?

Asked by: mmays
Yes, each guest is allowed two pieces of checked luggage with a 50-pound maximum each, same as airlines. Luggage should be clearly labeled with your name, address and contact number. You also may bring an additional small bag: It may take a few hours after embarkation for your luggage to be delivered to your stateroom. Likewise, suitcases are collected on the last night of your cruise. To avoid any complications, be sure to bring a small bag such as a backpack for carrying any necessary medication, valuables, important documents and need-to-have items.

What are the advantages/differences between a mini suite and a regular balcony room?

Our ship is the Norwegian Escape. Thanks,
Asked by: diverguy569
A Mini Suite is basically just a slightly larger Balcony stateroom. There is a bit more space in the bedroom, while the bathroom is quite a bit larger. Most Balcony cabins have a shower and a single sink, but most Mini Suites have a full tub and some have double sinks. You can compare the two types of rooms by clicking on the "Staterooms" tab above and following the link to view floor plans and sample photos of the rooms.

Is there a Margaritaville at Sea on the Escape?

Asked by: NHBigMINI
NCL has been rebranding a number of venues on its ships. Margaritaville has been replaced by American Diner on the Escape as well as on several other ships. The decor, menu, and atmosphere of the restaurant are similar to Margaritaville, but the name has been changed. It is located on Deck 17 aft.

What is the cost for vibe beach club on the Breakaway?

Asked by: judikins

Does the family mini suite on deck 9, Cat M3 of the Escape have the multi-head rain shower in the bathtubs.

Some descriptions just say bathtubs and no specifics if it is the fancy rain shower type. I do not use a tub and would be very disappointed if just your regular shower.
Asked by: GilchristCruiser

How much extra is the vibe adult club

I know the escape has the vibe deck on it, but I believe I read it's an additional cost. Does anyone know how much?
