When going to Bermuda do we need both a Visa and Passport?

Asked by: Tangie
Visa requirements vary depending on your country of origin. For US citizens, visa is not required. For all other passengers, check with the Bermuda embassy on the visa requirements for guests from your country. As far as passports are concerned, US citizens can travel with a govt issued photo id and birth certificate but it is advisable to carry your passport.

Do restaurants accommodate a vegan diet?

I've noticed most restaurants on the ship have only vegetarian options and very few at that. How accommodating are they of a vegan diet? Will I find things to eat at the specialty restaurants?
Asked by: RunsOnPlants
All restaurants have at least one vegetarian dish. However, it may not qualify as a strict vegan dish. If you have any other special dietary requirements contact NCL about a month in advance and inform them about the dietary requirements. Follow up with NCL a week before the cruise as a reminder. Once on board, contact the restaurant manager to ensure that they are aware of it.

Asked by: Jecarty
Non-dairy creamers are available onboard the ship. As a general policy, NCL doesn't allow guests to bring onboard any kind of sodas or other drinks onboard the ship. You can call them and check with them if they will allow non-dairy creamers.

Escape Formal Night or Not Question

Can we still dress casually on "formal night" and still be allowed in the main dining rooms? Or do we have to dress up more to eat there? What is the type of dress code for "formal" night or not? Please give me an example of what to wear.
Asked by: kitkat55
NCL doesn't have formal nights but they do have "Dress up or not" nights where formals are suggested but is not required. As long as you are wearing a decent shirt, pant or jeans it is acceptable. Here are a couple of links that will help you pack http://www.ncl.com/freestyle-cruise/prepare-for-your-cruise/what-to-pack http://www.ncl.com/faq#packing

Cagneys or Le Bristro? Which would you do?

Asked by: bcrc18
I would say it is a personal preference. Steakhouse v/s French restaurant. If your search for the menus online, you'll find plenty of external cruise related website where past guests have posted the menus. That should give you an idea to decide.

how dose a stateroom looks like

we will like to see the rooms
Asked by: Munecachula
If you look at the Deck plans for the ship, you should be able to navigate to your stateroom and see generic pics and floor plan to your room. I would suggest doing a generic search on any search engine and you will find plenty of websites where guests have posted pics of the room. You should also be able to find videos too.

Asked by: Yocko
The check-in process usually starts at around 11 AM and they will let you board the ship around 12 noon. However, you will not be allowed into your staterooms until 2-3 PM to give the staff enough time to clean the rooms. You can have lunch on board the ship and explore the public areas of the ship.

Are the pools heated?

We are traveling out of NYC at the end of March, so I would imagine it's a bit chilly until we are much further south. Additionally, would you recommend bringing coats for the rope courses, etc. during those first couple of days?
Asked by: SAMYsMom
The pools do have the option to be heated. However, the pools are in an open deck.It will be cold once you get out of the pool. As far as the rope course is concerned, it can get windy since you are up in the open area. If you plan to use it on the first couple of days, I would recommend a jacket. It will be cold on the any of the open decks even if you are walking. The ships usually do between 18-20 knots and that adds to the wind chill factor.

Are there laundry rooms onboard NCL Escape, thereby allowing me to pack less?

Asked by: popsfull
There are no passenger accessible laundry facilities on any NCL ship, but laundry and dry cleaning services are available on board at prices similar to what you might expect to pay at a land-based hotel. The ship also will offer a laundry special near the middle of the cruise when you can have one full bag of clothing laundered for a single low price.

What are the rules for door decorations?

We will be traveling with another family and we want to do something on the doors of our suites. What are the rules for door decorations?
Asked by: 1stNorwegianCruiser
If you put up a little bit of decorations it should be fine. Avoid using tapes or other items that will leave a residue. If you can hold it up with magnets that will be perfect. The decorations also shouldn't cause an obstruction in case of evacuation.

4 of us will be in room 5168. There is one bed, so where do the other 2 sleep? Will the sound of the water be very noisy?

Asked by: miarelle
Each stateroom has two full sized beds that can be pushed together to make a queen sized bed. Depending on the type of room and the room configuration, the third and fourth guests will either sleep on 2 bunk beds attached to the wall or sofa bed or a combination of bunk bed and roll away beds or a sofa bed. Your stateroom steward will open the beds in the evening and close them up in the morning.

Asked by: Njgirljo
Not sure what you mean by dining podium. If you are looking for the complimentary restaurants, it is located on deck 6 & 7. Check the deck plans for it. The complimentary restaurants don't require reservation. Seating is on a first come first serve basis. The specialty restaurants do require reservation and you can make it using the app,the restaurant reservation line on the ship or at the restaurant reservation desk located next to guest services.
