Do you have to purchase “Priority Check In” if you’re a “GOLD” Latitudes member?

I was under the impression that as a “GOLD” member, you’re automatically entitled to priority check in??
Asked by: MKD23
No additional purchase is required to access the priority check-in lanes at the cruise terminal. When you enter the arrivals hall, look for signage designating your Latitudes status and proceed to that line. Depending upon the size of the terminal and the size of the ship, there will be several check-in lines. The longest and slowest line is for first-timers, those who are not members of the Latitudes program. The lines for Bronze, Silver, and Gold members may be combined if there only are a few of those passengers, or they may be separate. The Platinum and Platinum Plus members frequently have a line dedicated to serve them, while Ambassador members and those traveling in a Suite or in the Haven will have the highest priority check-in. Just look for your category and bypass the longer lines.

Towel Animals

I heard that the towel animals (which were always a delight to see when returning to the cabin after a nice everning) are no longer on any NCL cruises. Is that true? (hope not)

Does the Norwegian Gem Cruise Ship offer Sunday Mass services in its chapel to guests? If so, what times are the Masses?

Asked by: myquestion
NCL does not offer religious services on any of its ships. Many ships do include a chapel, however, and those which do not have meeting rooms available for use. Passengers may reserve a room and conduct their own services, but NCL does not provide a priest or minister.

Are you able to upgrade your room before your cruise?

Asked by: Melmarie
Yes, if staterooms are available in a higher category, you can contact your travel agent or the NCL Reservations Department to upgrade your reservation. You will have to pay the difference between what you already have paid and the cost of the new room. Passengers who have booked their cruise through a agent located in certain other countries may encounter restrictions or additional charges to upgrade. It is my understanding that certain laws in Great Britain, for example, restrict upgrading by passengers who have booked through a British travel agent or even through the British office of NCL. Those who book directly with NCL in the US should have no problems upgrading.

I’ve heard there are special event night’s/activities...such as Glow night, white party, dress up night, country/western, do I find out what the events are so I kniw what to pack? Going transatlantic 15 day cruise 2022.
Asked by: Alert
The schedule and location of the events on board will be announced a day or two in advance by way of the Freestyle Daily newsletter or the Norwegian App. When it comes to what to wear, you can go resort casual or get decked-out and look your best - it’s your call. That’s the freedom of Freestyle Cruising. We even have special “Dress-Up or Not Night.” It’s the perfect opportunity to get your portrait taken with your family, that special someone or even with the ship’s Captain. Dress cruise casual anytime during the day, in the buffet and in most specialty restaurants. For women, it includes summer and casual dresses, skirts, regular or capri pants, shorts, jeans and tops. Khakis, jeans, shorts and casual shirts are fine for men. Swimwear is acceptable at the buffet and outdoor restaurant, but a shirt or a cover-up and footwear are required. Be sure to pack a sweater — the air conditioning can be chilly. Kids 12 and under are welcome to wear nice shorts in all our restaurants. Please Note: We want you to be comfortable, but tank tops for men, flip flops, baseball caps, visors and jeans that are overly faded, with holes or tears and worn below the hips are not permitted in main dining rooms or specialty restaurants. Dress smart casual in our more formal dining room or in our more upscale specialty restaurants. For women, it includes slacks or jeans, dresses, skirts and tops. For men, it's jeans or slacks with a collared shirt and closed-toed shoes. Kids 12 and under are welcome to wear nice shorts in all our restaurants. Think about the shore excursions you'll be taking and pack accordingly, including comfy walking shoes. For kids and adults it's good to pack a pair of closed-toed shoes. You can check within the specific shore excursion for more information. Our newest event, Norwegian's Night Out, is the perfect opportunity to get dressed up for an evening of cocktails, fine dining and great entertainment. You may also want to pack an all-white ensemble for our iconic White Hot Party.

Gem thalassotherapy pool: how does it compare to the larger ships (Epic, Escape)?

Haven't been able to find any comprehensive views of the Gem thalassotherapy pool on YouTube or Google searches. I loved the pools on Escape and Epic; hoping that the smaller ship size won't be too different. Thanks in advance for your response!
