Is there a public sundeck?

Is there a place to relax and stare at the ocean? We have an interior room. Is there a public space with lounge chairs to watch the ocean go by? Looking at the ship layout, all the public spaces seem to be dedicated to an activity (dance/club, running track, etc) but I don't see a basic sun deck...

What you're looking for is on Deck 14, forward. There are also deck chairs on Deck 7 and on Deck 13 above the pool, but there's a lot of foot traffic in those spots. Check out the Deck Plans at the link above.

What time do we dis-embark at end of cruise?

Hard to say. It can take a couple of hours for customs to clear the ship. Then the first off are those who choose to walk off carrying all their luggage. Only then does general debarkation begin. You can choose your estimated time slot by getting timed luggage debarkation tags available a day or two before arrival. In general, don't plan on being off before 9, but they want to get everyone off by about 10:30 or so.

NCL no longer stocks the refrigerators as mini bars. If you want to order drinks to your room, they have an on demand service. It is not included in the beverage package or for suites.

DOES THE US DYSON AIRWRAP WORK ON A CRUISE??

Hi does anyone know if the USA version Dyson airwrap styler works on a European cruise? I heard it only works at 110/120v NOT 220.

While I have no idea what that is, all ships have American and European outlets. Even though you may be sailing in Europe, you'll still have 110V outlets to plug into. Take note, though, that there are not many outlets in your stateroom, and they may not be conveniently placed for your needs. Power strips and/or extension cords can help.

Do the GEM bathrooms in the Club Balcony Suite have multiple (6) shower heads and do they have tubs with showers or just showers?

I am unable to step up into the tub and require a walk in shower

I think Club Balcony is advertised with a tub with shower. You need to contact your travel agent or NCL because you may need to change rooms to have a walk in shower, which would be a regular Balcony. There may be some Accessible coded rooms. Good to check!

Where is the casino situated on the Norwegian Gem cruise ship?

The casino on the Breakaway is placed in the ship which requires you to wait near the smoke filled casino every time we had to exit the ship.

According to NCL's list of prohibited items: 21. Items brought on board the vessel and not supplied by the Company containing any kind of heating element, such as but not limited to: immersion heaters, heating blankets, clothing irons, water heaters, coffee machines with heating/hot plates, etc.

Is there a different room service menu for guests of the Haven ?

Haven guests can order from any restaurant on the ship through your butler, so essentially you have an unlimited room service menu. You would have an upcharge for speciality restaurants just as if you were dining there, but any of the included restaurants can be delivered.

There are no self-service laundries on any NCL ship. You can send items to the ship's laundry for a nominal fee, similar to your local dry cleaner. They usually have a special offer mid-cruise. Check with your Cabin Attendant.

They're call stateroom attendants, and they will care for your stateroom morning and night. There is no separate charge, but your on-board service charge goes in part to them. You should feel free to give them an additional tip for good service.
