Ive read alot of reviews that havent been so complimentary about the Pearl 1 thing that struck me was that you have to pay for even a glass of water?

Is this true and also you have to pay for iced tea?
Asked by: Gdvc
Water is complimentary on the ship. However you have to pay for bottled water. Ice tea is also complimentary.

Room Service charge in The Haven?

I'm really frustrated trying to find all this info online. Do we pay the $7.95 convenience fee for room service while staying in The Haven, or is room service part of the butler/concierge that is included in Haven pricing?
Asked by: Delamaine
There is no service charge for ordering room service for Haven guests.

I have heard that when you take your medications overseas they have to be in the original containers. Is this true?

My husband and I both keep ours in our daily medication containers. Is this ok?
Asked by: Diamondgirl2867
Normally if you are carrying a few doses for personal use no one is going to bother you for it but it is always better to carry prescription meds in the original containers to avoid questions.

TSA-Type Liquid Restrictions?

On a cruise ship, do you have to adhere to TSA regs and pack only a clear quart bag with liquids in small size containers?
Asked by: Delamaine
The security for getting onboard the ship is not the same as an airline. There are no restrictions on liquids or other such items. Here's a link to prohibited items https://www.ncl.com/prohibited-items

Additional bedding?

I have an obstructed Oceanview room, and from the looks of it there are 2 bed, which I will have to put together for 2 of the older guests to use. Are there options to get a roll away bed or anything for me anything the other guest?
Asked by: Adrienne924
If the room is configured for 2 guests, you can't add another guest to that room. If you need another person to your party, they will move you to another room that can accommodate 3 or 4 guests.

Is there a laundry room provided for guests?

Asked by: rebekahn
No. There are no self-service laundries. All ships offer laundry, dry clean & pressing services. They have laundry bags in your stateroom that you can give to the cabin stewards. Usually around the middle of the cruise they offer discounts on the services. However, I wouldn't use it for any delicate or expensive dresses.

What does the cabin feature PrivaSea mean?

Asked by: Kgosden
PrivaSea is NCL's room type name for an enclosed balcony. Enclosed balcony staterooms that are located towards the front or back of the ship have balcony staterooms where the metal hull of the ship forms an enclosure for the balcony. You will still be able to sit outside in the balcony. The advantage is that you have a little more privacy in the balcony compared to a regular balcony stateroom. Take a look at a pic of the ship from outside and you will get an idea of how the enclosed balcony will look from outside.

Timing for Shore Excursions

Ship arrives at 1PM; excursion starts at 1:30. Ncl.com says that disembarkation starts 2 hours after docking, which implies we wouldn't get to the activity in time. Some excursions end 1/2 hr before departure. How much earlier do we need to be on the ship before it departs? This is unclear.
Asked by: Delamaine
You are confusing the arrival time on embarkation day with the time to get on and off the ship at the ports. On embarkation day, you must have checked in at least 2 hours before sail time. At the port, you can disembark within 10-15 min after the ship docks. You have to be back on the ship at least an hour before departure time. If you book an excursion through NCL, you don't have to worry about the times. They will pick you up and drop you back on time.

Any Restrictions On Specialty Dining Package?

Are there any restrictions on the "Specialty Dining" package on The Pearl, or can I use it to get a full dinner at any of the restaurants? Does the package apply at Cagney's, Le Bistro, and others- or are there added costs?
