There are a number of benefits you get from being in a suite. Priority boarding and disembarkation. You also get priority disembarkation in each port, plus at the end of the cruise. Butler service. Your butler can bring you food from any of the restaurants, snacks, and non-alcoholic beverages (juice, tea, etc). They will also bring you canapés or similar every afternoon to your cabin. If you tell them specific things you like, they do their best to accommodate. You can ask to have chips, gummy bears, M&M's, etc in your cabin. Bathrobes & an umbrella in your cabin. Upgraded bathroom amenities (nicer shampoo, soap, etc). Concierge service. They essentially act as guest services for you, can make dinner and show reservations, shore excursion reservations, etc. Breakfast and Lunch in a dedicated restaurant. Suite guests can have sit down breakfast and lunch in a restaurant just for those guests (they usually use Moderno for breakfast and Cagney's for lunch). It's much nicer than the buffet, and tends to be a bit better than what is offered in the main dining room. Plus since its limited, you don't wait for a table. Reserved seating in the theater. The concierge holds a section of seating for suite guests. I'm probably missing some other things, but those are the highlights I remember from past cruises.

To be sure of getting a balcony cabin, call your TA or NCl's PCC. You'll be re-booked at the going price. To try for an upgrade at a discount, take advantage of the upgrade bidding process. You'll be notified via e-mail when the bidding opens. You're gambling a bit, because if your bid is not accepted, you won't have your balcony.

The theater and all shows are free. The theater is large enough that no reservations are required, especially with two shows nightly (start times usually around 7:00-7:30 and 9:00 - 9:30). There are shows every night - one or two theatrical type shows, others featuring other entertainers

We just cruised the Pearl to Bermuda from Boston this July. There is no comedy club, but they featured Jim Coliton who had a PG Comedy Show and another night had two adult rated shows in the Stardust Theater. Of course, I don't know if your cruise will have them. Check the next day Daily Activity Sheet left in your room the night before for times. They also have screens throughout the ship which scrolls though when the shows are. We saw both shows and were really funny. The doors open 1/2 early.

There are two times for shows. One at 7 or 7:30 and another showing at 9 or 9:30 in the evenings.

You will find the Tender boats on Deck 8. Some Oceanview rooms (categories OK and OX) have partially obstructed views.

The third bed is a pullman bed. Your Cabin Attendant will lower and raise it for you.
