7-day Cruise on Norwegian Epic

Southern Caribbean

from San Juan, Puerto Rico

With its candy-colored colonial architecture, Oranjestad is your first port of call on this 7-day sailing. Spend the day at a sparkling beach or dive in and explore the Antilla, a cargo shipwreck that is home to a variety of tropical fish. Kralendijk is another excellent port for getting in the water. Its name means “coral reef” in Dutch. Be sure to look for wild flamingos on the beach. For buzzing around on shore, rent a Tuk Tuk, the mini taxis commonly seen in Thailand. If you’re a lover of rum punch, there is no better place to enjoy a cold one than in beautiful Basseterre. Along with volcanic beaches and jaw-dropping shoreline vistas, you can tour 400 years of history at Romney Manor. Sip a “Jeffreson” rum punch and shop at Caribelle Batik, renowned for its batik fabrics. For a taste of local cuisine, lobster and conch dishes are fresh and flavorful.
