Stroll through the enchanting streets of St. George – the oldest English settlement in the New World – and stop for cocktails at some of its most historical landmarks. You will walk among 17th- and 18th-century buildings that are so architecturally important that UNESCO named St. George a World Heritage site. The first stop will be Stewart Hall, an atmospheric stone cottage that has been repurposed as a perfumery. As you hear about the history of the building, a mixologist will make you a cocktail using local ingredients that include Goslings spirits, which have been produced in Bermuda since 1806. Similarly, at the Mitchell House Museum, you will enjoy a classic Bermudian cocktail while browsing its exhibits. The Globe Hotel occupies an even older building as you will discover while touring its garden, again with a cocktail in hand. You will toast the island’s history once more with a glass of prosecco at the gift shop Long Story Short.

Explore the geological wonders and eerie formations in Crystal Caves and then spend hours relaxing at a series of beaches linked by footpaths and surrounded by a nature reserve.

After departing from the pier, you will enjoy a leisurely tender ride to St. George’s Island, the northernmost point of hook-shaped Bermuda. A short scenic drive will bring you to Crystal Caves, which were discovered in 1907 when a teenager tried to retrieve his cricket ball from a hole and found it led to a huge series of caverns.

You will have the opportunity to explore the wonders underground, which include a crystal-clear lake and a profusion of white stalactites eerily illuminated for added drama. Parts of the caves are accessed along a pontoon boardwalk that floats atop the lake, allowing a closer look at the geological formations underwater. As an alternative, you may remain above ground and meander the gardens and browse the gift shop.

. Continuing, you will soon arrive at the Clearwater Beach & Cooper’s Island Reserve, a secluded wedge of undeveloped land on Bermuda’s eastern end. The area contains six interconnected beaches, an idyllic setting to enjoy hours relaxing in the sun, doing whatever you please.

Tucked away in Bermuda’s East End lies an unspoiled hidden paradise of pristine beaches. The Clearwater Beach Triangle will take you away from the beaten bath and crowded beaches to a series of 6 interconnecting utopic beaches, while still offering all of the great facilities and amenities to make a perfect beach day. A representative will greet you on the pier outside of your ship and direct you to Norwegian’s direct tender to St. George’s. Once you arrive in St. George’s, you will be greeted by a charismatic and knowledgeable local guide and escorted onto comfortable mini buses. From there, you will be treated to a guided sightseeing tour on the way to Clearwater Beach in St. David's. Cruise along Bermuda’s west end shoreline toward an unforgettable snorkeling experience. Bermuda is home to over 200 square miles of the Atlantic’s most northerly fringe reef. Maximize your time in Bermuda on this great combination tour! First, enjoy sightseeing the rural west end of the island during your short shuttle ride to Somerset Island. Here you'll be provided a Mountain Bike and equipped with a durable bike helmet. After receiving instruction on riding and safety, you'll begin your guided cycle tour along the original Bermuda Railway Trail. Re-joining your buses the route takes a coastline drive along the North Shore to soon arrive at famed Front Street, the busiest place on the island and life and soul of the lively capitol, City of Hamilton. Time allows for shopping and browsing in the boutique style shops and souvenir store-fronts lining Hamilton Harborfront.

Learn about the mysterious Bermuda Triangle – where dozens of ships and airplanes have supposedly vanished without explanation – and browse a museum that sheds some light on those enigmas. Bermuda is the northern tip of the triangle, whose other points are Miami and Puerto Rico, and the waters in between are legendary for their unnatural occurrences. You will gaze out over the sea from Fort Scaur, a late 19th-century fortress that offers an extraordinary 360° view of Bermuda. The Unlock the Secrets exhibit at the Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute may unravel some of the most puzzling aspects of the Bermuda Triangle. Another exhibit will allow you to investigate some of the triangle’s strange phenomena on a simulated dive to an airplane graveyard at the bottom of the sea. A driving tour through Hamilton will reveal the official northern point of the Bermuda Triangle, after which you will pause for photos of one of the island’s most beautiful pink beaches.

Step aboard a comfortable and stable catamaran for a trip to the northernmost coral reef in the world. Cruise along Bermuda’s western shore in a sleek catamaran and enjoy free time snorkeling and swimming off one of the sandbars. While cruising, you will hear entertaining stories about the history of Royal Naval Dockyard and how Bermuda has evolved since its founding in 1612. The scenery will be extraordinary the entire way, but especially once the catamaran anchors in the shallows. You will be free to swim in the crystal-clear waters and snorkel the coral reefs, which are teeming with marine life. Bright blue tangs, queen triggerfish and reddish squirrelfish are frequently spotted. You may even catch sight of hawksbill and green sea turtles gracefully swimming by. Begin with a 50‑minute tender transfer from your ship pier in Royal Naval Dockyard to the East End, where you’ll enjoy an exclusive two‑hour guided walking tour featuring interior visits to several of St. George’s most significant historic buildings and gardens. Explore the cobblestone streets of this UNESCO World Heritage Site as your guide shares the town’s rich past. Walk the cobblestone streets of thoroughly charming St. George, the oldest inhabited town of English origin in the New World. Because of that distinction, UNESCO named St. George a World Heritage site and it is well worth exploring. The guide will elaborate on the town’s intriguing past as you tour one landmark after another, beginning by pausing at Tucker House, a family home that remains virtually untouched since being built in 1750. You will then learn about the origins of the island and view the interior of the Towne Hall. The Mitchell House was built even earlier and is now a museum full of extraordinary artifacts to be viewed up close. As you explore the interior of The State House, you will hear details about Bermuda’s Parliament, which met there for nearly 200 years until Bermuda’s capital moved to Hamilton. Other highlights include the interior of St. Peter’s Church, the Globe Hotel – the headquarters of a notorious Confederate arms runner during the Civil War – Stewart Hall constructed in 1707 with a picturesque Kitchen Garden and current home of the Lili Bermuda perfumery, the exterior Pilot Darrell’s Cottage (the first home known to have been built by a Black Bermudian), and Somers Garden, a lush greenspace named for Admiral George Somers, who is considered to be the founder of Bermuda. The breathtaking South shores drive offers stops for photo opportunities to view famous Horseshoe Bay and other pink sand beaches, pretty pastel colored houses with distinctive white roofs. A drive through quaint Somerset Village soon has you crossing over little Somerset Bridge, the smallest drawbridge in the world. Your tour then navigates the winding uphill drive to the base of Gibbs Hill Lighthouse, towering 120 feet above sea level, a great opportunity to photograph the 360 degree views of Bermuda.

You will stop to take in the sweeping view of John Smith’s Beach, one of Bermuda’s legendary pink hued beaches. Visit the historic Town of St. George's, the oldest continuously inhabited English town in the New World. The Town center provides a favorite photograph opportunity in the Stocks, aside the Ducking Stool and at the steps of St. Peter's Church, the oldest Anglican church of the Western Hemisphere. Re-joining your buses the route takes a coastline drive along the North Shore crossing over the Flatts Inlet, where the waters of Harrington Sound and the Atlantic Ocean merge to create swirling riptides that are visually spectacular. Arrive to famed Front Street, the busiest place on the island and life and soul of the lively capitol, City of Hamilton. Time allows for shopping and browsing in the boutique style shops and souvenir store-fronts lining Hamilton Harborfront.

OVERVIEW

Observe the wonders underwater through the transparent bottom of your kayak while paddling through the sheltered waters off Ely’s Harbour in the West End. After a brief orientation to ensure that you maximize the experience, you will ease into a two-person kayak and paddle off into the harbor’s typically calm and clear waters. You will glide past shores lined with environmentally friendly mangroves, pause to admire the dramatically eroded cliff known Cathedral Rock and gaze out over Wreck Hill, where the Sea Venture supposedly wrecked in 1609 stranding its English crew and passengers. You may also paddle around the beach-rimmed islands that dot the natural harbor and stop to swim. Even so, the most unusual part of this adventure is watching the marine life through the kayak’s clear bottom. You may see brightly colored blue angelfish, striped sergeant majors, princess parrotfish and spotted eagle rays, all of which are native to Bermuda.

As you will discover, an almost imperceptible channel connects the sound with the ocean so the water is briny and tidal. As you glide through the turquoise waters of Harrington Sound—a hotspot of marine and coastal life—you’ll pass limestone cliffs, hidden caves, and secluded inlets while your guide shares stories of Bermuda’s volcanic origins, coastal culture, and unique ecosystems. Look out for Bermuda’s iconic Longtail birds and vibrant sea life, and soak in the views of Trunk Island and the Sound’s remarkable underwater caves. Back on land, enjoy an exclusive behind the scenes visit to the Bermuda Aquarium, Museum & Zoo (BAMZ) and hear from experts who care for more than 200 marine species, and visit the Turtle Rehabilitation Pool to learn how the conservation team nurses injured sea turtles back to health and hear the stories behind their rescues. Your journey continues with a scenic North Shore drive, showcasing the island’s striking coastline and view of Governor's House, before you arrive in Hamilton. After a short shuttle to the beach site and after receiving some safety instructions, you’ll board your stable sit-on-top double kayaks for a fully-guided and narrated shoreline tour. Your guide will pick the best location and tour route where you’ll enjoy views of rocky coastlines, uninhabited islands and beaches. Along the way your guide will point out coastline creatures such as Bermuda long tails, egrets, herons, and various crustaceans. Following your kayak tour you’ll have the opportunity to swim and relax at the beach before your return transportation.

Join the crew on your snorkel boat, as your Captain sets course for the wreck of the 'Constellation', a shipwreck made world-famous by the film "The Deep". Three decades later, there is even more beautiful coral and fish surrounding the shipwreck. The wreck lies in only 20 feet of water, but is six miles off the north coast of Bermuda. The views are as breathtaking above the water, as they are below. After a full snorkel instruction and safety briefing, you’ll have approximately 45 minutes to explore the 'Constellation', as well as the nearby wreck of the 'Montana'. The Captain will then sound the horn, and prepare to cruise to your next snorkel location, a beautiful and secluded cluster of the world's most healthy coral reef. You’ll have another half hour to venture out and explore the underwater world before making the way back to your ship. In the event of inclement sea conditions, captain reserves the right to substitute with an inshore reef site.

Spend hours relaxing on a beach that the locals prefer because it is usually less crowded than other stretches of sand. To ensure that you have everything you could possibly need, you will first stop at a mini-mart to stock up on your favorite snacks and drinks. It won’t take long to reach Chaplin Bay, giving you all the more time to enjoy its secluded beach, a beautiful setting tucked along Bermuda’s southern shore. The sand is soft pink, the water brilliant blue and the sea is typically calm as the beach is sheltered by the large boulders that bookend it. With your included amenities feel free to pull up a beach chair and bask in the sun or, if you prefer the shade, Umbrellas[AG2.1]. There will be plenty of time to take a refreshing swim, stroll along the shore and do most of anything else you please with no schedule to follow other than your own.
