Your guide will meet you in the Adventure Center to escort you to the tram departure area. You'll discover first-hand the natural wonders of a wild southeast Alaskan rainforest on this 1 3/4 hour tour. Departing from Icy Strait Point, you and your local guide will ride a covered, wheeled tram approximately two miles through an old growth rainforest and along the shoreline where Chichagof Island meets the bountiful waters of Icy Straits.

Your guide will describe the ecological and cultural significance of the forest's unique plants and animals and how the island's Native Tlingit people are bound to its rich landscape. At the beachfront turn-around, you'll have an option to explore the rocky beach on foot within view of an established bald eagle nest.
