This guided tour of the south end of Sitka is geared for those guests who want to see a part of Sitka that visitors rarely experience, get some exercise and enjoy the beautiful landscape and fresh air that Alaska has to offer. You’ll bike along the coastal road with breathtaking ocean vistas and stunning Silver Bay for about two miles. Upon arrival to the trail head, you’ll hike in the world's largest temperate rain forest.

Along the way, guides will share their knowledge of the flora and fauna as well as local history and culture with you. During your hike enjoy waterfalls, streams, and the beauty of the temperate rainforest. The pace of the hike is set by guests and typically one to two miles in length. Guests then return to their cycles for the 2 mile ride back to the bike center, where a shuttle will return them to the pier. All riders are required to wear a provided helmet. We recommend comfortable shoes and clothing.

These horses will immediately put you at ease. The ride begins on an off-road trail from which the beautiful blue Caribbean Sea comes into view. When you reach the end of the trail, ride your horse right into the waters of the Caribbean Sea. The horses love a refreshing dip in the sea and you will love the thrill of the experience.

After the horseback riding, enjoy two hours of relaxing on a lounge chair and experience one of the best (and private) Caribbean beaches on the island.

Experience a genuine Alaskan adventure while supporting the official state sport! Take an exhilarating sled ride and play with husky puppies, all in the heart of the lush Alaskan rainforest. Upon arrival at this authentic summer training camp for mushers and their sled dogs, you'll participate in a sled dog summer training run on a custom designed, wheeled summertime sled. Discover the power of a team of Alaskan huskies as they whisk your sled down a mile long trail through the depths of the Tongass National Rainforest! Then join a dog handler and sled dogs for interactive demonstrations on mushing equipment and the impeccable care the dogs receive.

Your dog handler will also entertain you with knowledge about the training, history, races and inspiring efforts required by this sport. Admire the untamed beauty as you walk across a suspension bridge overlooking Fish Creek. This camp is surrounded by moss-covered forest with huge spruce and hemlock trees. Then cuddle up with a husky puppy and take your picture with one of these adorable future athletes! Get ready for a real off-road jungle adventure in search of the Jade cenote cavern riding a powerful ATV through tough trails into the heart of the jungle. Following your adventurous ride, you can relax at Playa Mia Grand Beach Park, Cozumel’s complete beach destination.

Board your transportation at the pier to El Cedral Mayan Village. Following your safety briefing, gear up and hop on a single-driver ATV for a 6-mile journey. Drive through the winding and tough jungle trails to Jade cenote cavern. This jungle oasis was once a sacred site for the ancient Mayans. You will have a chance to swim in it’s refreshing waters. Hop back on your ATV for a drive to the Coral Caves, a series of natural formations carved over centuries, before returning to El Cedral for your transfer to Play Mia.

This famous beach destination is home to the largest bouncing floating park on the island. Beach lounge chairs, pools, 200- foot water slide, kayaks, and a whirl tub are part of the 20+ included non-motorized attractions. OVERVIEW

Enjoy a look at local life by interacting with the fun-loving residents of Monkeyland and by visiting a typical Dominican home. Two families of squirrel monkeys live in the Monkeyland nature reserve, where they spend most of the day in the trees, although not high in the canopy. Unlike other New World monkeys that use their prehensile tails to grasp tree limbs, squirrel monkeys rely on their remarkably human-like hands and powerful feet to hold on. You will see them leaping about the trees, and they will likely come down for you to hand-feed them. If you encourage them, the squirrel monkeys will climb up on your shoulder. They are exceptionally social, highly intelligent and quite vocal as they communicate through dozens of calls such as barks, purrs and squawks. You will also see how many Dominicans live by dropping by a traditional house at Monkeyland for a cup of organic coffee.

OVERVIEW

Drive a 4-wheel-drive vehicle to the eastern shore of Aruba, a spectacularly scenic area full of natural wonders and a 19th-century gold mill. Your Utility Terrain Vehicle or UTV has better traction that most ATVs and is made for heavier duty, so it is ideal to negotiate the island’s rugged terrain. You can drive the 2-person UTV or ride along as a passenger. Either way, it will be a thrill. Although Aruba isn’t often associated with a gold rush, it did experience one after the precious metal was discovered in 1824. You will see evidence of the frenzy that followed at the ruins of the abandoned Bushiribana Gold Mill. Not far off, you will view beautiful Blackstone Beach, the island’s only beach made of volcanic black pebbles, and a natural rock bridge that the pounding of the sea created. Later, back on the island’s western shore, you can enjoy a refreshing swim at Mangel Halto Beach.

On the way to the base camp, you will enjoy spectacular views of George Inlet and Tongass National Forest. Still nothing rivals the exhilaration of hopping into the 2-seat or 4-seat UTV and following the guide caravan-style up the mountainous 5-mile trail to Mahoney Lake. Whoever drives on the way up will switch positions and ride as a passenger on the way down. The serene lake and roaring Mahoney Falls are at the end of the trail, and both are well worth viewing. During stops, the guide will offer commentary about the history and culture of Ketchikan, including the flora and fauna. Back at the White River base camp, you can relive the experience while dining on chili and a reindeer sausage. Highlight includes the extraordinary views while riding to and from Mahoney Lake in a UTV. Drive the UTV up to the lake and ride as a passenger on the way down. Or vice-versa. The Seahawk is another name for the Osprey bird of prey - and this one is our star attraction: 2,975 feet of open air, over the water ziplining fun! With a starting height of over 110 feet - don't worry, you'll take an elevator to get to the top; the 1,429-foot zip provides awesome views of the beach, reefs and surrounding islands help to distract the thought of launching yourself over the edge into the wild blue yonder.

Once you launch, open your eyes! Take in the blue hues of the Bahamian waters and watch for the marine life as you zip over coral reefs descending lower and lower finally landing adjacent to the Silver Cove lagoon.

The return is a includes a 105-foot V-net bridge, a 25-foot chimney climb and for those with the mental and physical stamina try your hand at the 36-foot cargo net climb stationed 40 feet above the ground. Two additional long zips between these obstacles provide additional rushes of adrenaline and some great adventurous bragging rights!
