OVERVIEW

Ride through an adventure park in an all-terrain dune buggy, relax at the beach and interact with the local wildlife for a pure Roatan experience. The fun will begin at the Mayan Eden Nature Park, where you cross hanging bridges and can hold, pet and play with animals such as capuchin monkeys, Honduras national bird Macaws, toucans, parrots and sloths, the latter being the world’s slowest moving mammal and welcome to visit hummingbird & butterfly sanctuary. Few encounters reveal so much about the indigenous wildlife. You will then hop into an open-air, two-person buggy and race through the jungle in a nearby ATV Dune Buggy adventure park. As you follow the natural trails, you will stop every so often to take in the sights, observe the wildlife and listen to the guides describe the flora and fauna. In time, you will pass through the island’s only community where Spanish not English is the primary language. The rest of the excursion will be spent enjoying the beach at the luxurious Las Palmaresort. Swim in the sea, bask in the sun and completely relax.

After departing from the pier, you will enjoy a wonderfully scenic drive toward the east end of Roatan Island, where you will find the Turquoise Bay Resort. Directly on the ocean with the lush Bonacca Ridge as a backdrop, the resort couldn’t be more picture-perfect. Upon arriving, you will receive a welcome cocktail and an enlightening overview of the property so you can maximize your time here.

You will then meander over to an area of the island’s longest private beach that has been reserved for you and your party. It is an extraordinary setting to stretch out on a lounge chair and bask in the sun and take a leisurely stroll along the shoreline. If you prefer shade, thatched-roofed palapas and hammocks dot the white-sand beach. Mid-morning hors d’oeuvres will be served, as well as a three-course lunch afterward. A bar with endless premium beverages will also be open for your enjoyment. Whenever you need a refill, a plush towel, or most anything else, simply ask one of the waiters standing by.

Enjoy a 90-minute drive along the island’s gorgeous western coastline offering views of the hilly ranchland and postcard-like vistas of mountains, ocean, and quaint fishing villages. Hike along a nature trail that will present spectacular views of the island’s signature Pitons and then take a dip in the cool waters at the base of a waterfall. This adventure is all about the great outdoors and panoramic views, starting with the sights from atop Morne Fortune. From this former military outpost, you will gaze out over Castries and the turquoise seas beyond.

The scenery will be even more memorable as you follow the Tet Paul Nature Trail. It will present close-up views of St. Lucia’s most iconic natural attraction—the Pitons, twin volcanic spires that soar high above the sea. They are so spectacular, along with the flora and fauna that thrive around their bases, that UNESCO deemed the surrounding area a World Heritage site. Following the hike, you can swim in the refreshing pool at the bottom of the Toraille waterfall and then dine on Creole cuisine at the Old Sugar Mill Restaurant.

Specifically designed for those that have a compulsive desire for excitement and adventure, the Flighthouse Adrenaline Package combines both exhilarating activities to feed your need for speed: the Lagoon Run Adventure Zip consisting of 3 zips crisscrossing the Harvest Cay Lagoon and traversing of the suspension bridge; and the Superman Beach Zipline Run, zipping 1,300 feet at 40 mph, side by side in a face down “superman” position across the Main Beach and Caribbean Sea! Note the beach run can also be done in the regular seat harness that is used for the Lagoon Run Zip for those who prefer to sit.

The Flighthouse tower is adrenaline junkie central. Currently the tallest building in all of Belize it has been specially designed to maximize the stunning views of the island, mainland and surrounding seas to allow you the opportunity to spring into thin air for the thrills of your life.

The flight crew will provide you with equipment and safety briefings covering all the “flight missions”. Once outfitted and briefed, you’ll be transported to your designated flight deck by the Flighthouse elevator and launched into the wild blue wonder!

Don’t think, just trust and launch yourself from the Flighthouse platform. Feel the adrenaline surge, the wind gust as you soar 100 feet above the Manatee Lagoon. Search the horizon and take in panoramic views of the Mayan Mountains on the mainland or the turquoise waters of the outer reefs.

The experience concludes with the side by side “Superman Beach Run” racing face down for 1300 feet in a superman position at 40 mph! allowing you a bird’s eye view of island guests below.

You will have the chance to test drive the buggy beforehand so you will feel comfortable whether at the wheel or as the passenger. Then, it’s off into the wilds, where you will drive down country lanes, past rivers and into isolated areas that most visitors never see. If it has rained recently, the ride will be even more fun because your caravan of vehicles can zip through long stretches of muddy dirt roads. In time, you will stop your tour a farm that grows coffee, the beach Bergantin stroll the shore and enjoy an invigorating swim in the sea.

Get ready for a real off-road jungle adventure in search of the Jade cenote cavern riding a powerful ATV through tough trails into the heart of the jungle. Following your adventurous ride, you can relax at Playa Mia Grand Beach Park, Cozumel’s complete beach destination.

Board your transportation at the pier to El Cedral Mayan Village. Following your safety briefing, gear up and hop on a double (one driver, one passenger) ATV for a 6-mile journey. Drive through the winding and tough jungle trails to Jade cenote cavern. This jungle oasis was once a sacred site for the ancient Mayans. You will have a chance to swim in it’s refreshing waters. Hop back on your ATV for a drive to the Coral Caves, a series of natural formations carved over centuries, before returning to El Cedral for your transfer to Play Mia.

This famous beach destination is home to the largest bouncing floating park on the island. Beach lounge chairs, pools, 200- foot water slide, kayaks, and a whirl tub are part of the 20+ included non-motorized attractions. For an extra fee there is jet-ski rentals, parasailing, snorkel gear, a spa, shopping, lockers and food & beverages.

Stand up Paddle Boarding or SUP, is a fun sport and very easy to learn. With just a few helpful hints from our staff, you'll be able to paddle Bertram’s Cove offering views of the beaches and glimpses of marine life.

Drive along the Dominican Republic’s northern shore, enjoying spectacular scenery all the way to Sousa Beach. Board your party boat and spend the next few hours sailing along the bay. Enjoy the lively Caribbean music and icy-cold drinks while dancing on board. If you’d like to observe the wonders underwater, snorkeling equipment is available. You don’t have to snorkel far from the boat to see all sorts of brilliantly colored reef fish at 3 Rocks Snorkel Spot. Enjoy the second snorkeling area at Sosua Bay, dance or just relax onboard.

Swim with bottlenose dolphins at Ocean World and explore the other attractions at the marine park as you please. After a brief introduction as how to maximize the experience, you will don a lifejacket and swim out into the dolphin habitat. The water is fairly deep so the charismatic dolphins can show off their acrobatic talents and ability to swim at remarkably high speeds. As you will notice, the dolphins’ curved mouths make them look like they’re constantly smiling. You might hug the dolphins, feed them fish or just watch them frolic. Plenty of time is also allotted to explore other areas of the park. To continue with the animal encounter theme, you might snap pictures with the tropical birds in the avian sanctuary and snorkel among the colorful fish in the reef aquarium. Other activities include taking a refreshing swim and relaxing around the freshwater pool.

Your experience begins with a refreshing natural drink as your Seaguard guide welcomes you. Each of our Seaguards is a highly trained expert on issues relating to dolphins and the oceans. After a brief orientation where you will receive your towel & locker key for its use during your stay at the facility, follow your Seaguard to embark on an ocean voyage and explore the depths of the sea alongside a dolphin friend.

Your Seaguards will then guide you to the dolphin habitat as your 40-minute swim begins in the deeper waters of our lagoons. The trainer will give you insight into how dolphins communicate and behave.

Next you will communicate with the dolphins in their own personalized way. Put on your dark-lens goggles and float face-up in the water. With your ears submerged, you’ll be able to hear first-hand how the dolphins talk underwater via sonar… an experience you won’t find above the surface! Afterwards, you can deepen your bond by placing your hand over the dolphin’s heart to feel its heartbeat, giving you an even more profound understanding of how humans and animals are so closely connected.

Then hold on tight for the famous belly ride! You and the dolphin will get to complete your connection near the end of the experience, when you’ll get face-to-face for an unforgettable dolphin kiss, as the dolphin says goodbye. Finally, the dolphin will dive down to a treasure chest at the bottom of the lagoon and bring you a special gift: a dolphin fin charm made out of recycled materials.

After lunch, where you’ll have the chance to see all of your candid photos on a tablet, spend the rest of your free time indulging in the rest of the amenities. Snorkel two reefs that are teeming with marine life and see the wreck of a freighter that has become an artificial reef. A sleek catamaran will bring you to the snorkeling sites, which are both located just off Buck Island, a naturally beautiful oasis that is a national wildlife refuge. Turtle Cove is known for its abundant sea turtles, the most common being green and hawksbill turtles. It’s easy to differentiate between the species, as green sea turtles weigh as much as 500 pounds and are typically twice the size of hawksbills. Countless tropical fish inhabit Turtle Cove and Shipwreck Cove, the second snorkeling venue, which is named for the ship that was scuttled there in 1979. A few years later, Hurricane Hugo broke the ship into three pieces and pushed it into shallower water. While snorkeling in the coves, you can expect to see snapper, blue tangs and parrotfish of every imaginable neon color.

Reap the benefits of soaking in a volcanic mud pool at Sulphur Springs Park, the largest geothermal area in the Lesser Antilles. As you enter what is billed as “the world’s only drive-in volcano,” you will pass bubbling hot springs and steam rising from vents in the earth’s surface known as fumaroles. It will be quite the experience, especially as you ease into a warm volcanic mud bath with minerals said to soothe the skin, detoxify the body and reduce inflammation from conditions such as arthritis. One attribute is undeniable—you can’t help but be completely relaxed while soaking in the warm sulphur-infused mud. The mud will be made available to apply. It is no wonder that the pools are one of the most popular attractions in St. Lucia. To round out your day, you will pause at an old sugar mill and linger over a sumptuous lunch.
