Torres del Paine is one of the most spectacular scenic regions in the world and a major attraction in South America. At an altitude of 150 feet above sea level and a peak reaching 9,840 feet covered by perpetual snow, it offers an exciting adventure.
Transfer to the airport and after an approximately one hour charter flight, your plane will land in Puerto Natales. Board a motorcoach for an approximately 2 1/2 hours scenic drive to Torres del Paine National Park. You’ll drive through rolling pampas, past shimmering lakes, cascading waterfalls, sprawling glaciers and dense forests with abundant wildlife. Approaching the park, you’ll catch your first glimpse of the distinct peaks.
Established in 1959, the park was granted status as a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO in 1978. You’ll stop at Lake Sarmiento for a view of the Paine Massif and make a photo stop at Laguna Amarga, a nature reserve. Drive to Nordenskjold Lake to admire the spires that gave the park its name, rising majestically across the lake.
At Salto Grande, stop for a photo opportunity at a waterfall and admire the striking natural beauty. Enjoy lunch at the Hostería Pehoe, the location of this rustic hotel offers a spectacular view of the Paine Massif towering above Lake Pehoe that never fails to awe visitors.
