Frank J. Del Rio

Frank J. Del Rio is the president and chief executive officer of S&P 500 company Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd. (NYSE: NCLH), which operates Norwegian Cruise Line, Oceania Cruises and Regent Seven Seas Cruises. Del Rio assumed this role in January 2015. An over 25-year cruise industry veteran, Del Rio has successfully led Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings in delivering industry leading financial results whilst providing an unparalleled guest experience. Under his leadership, the company has expanded its fleet with the newest and most innovative ships at sea, introduced the company's latest island destination, Harvest Caye in Belize, and significantly strengthened its global footprint.

Previously, Del Rio served as chairman and chief executive officer of Prestige Cruise Holdings, Inc., the parent company operating both Oceania Cruises and Regent Seven Seas Cruises. Del Rio founded Oceania Cruises in 2002, and in doing so, created a new "upper premium" market space in the cruise industry. Under his leadership the line has grown from a fledgling start-up with one 684-passenger ship to a dominant player in the upscale cruise market with six ships totaling 5,300 berths, including the addition of two highly acclaimed 1,250-passenger sister ships, Marina and Riviera. In 2008, Prestige Cruise Holdings acquired Regent Seven Seas Cruises and quickly completed a turnaround which positioned Regent Seven Seas Cruises as the market leader in luxury cruising and in turn positioned Prestige Cruise Holdings as the premier operator of upscale cruise brands.

Del Rio, who was born in Havana, Cuba and emigrated to the United States in 1961 at age six, earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Florida and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Harry Sommer

Harry Sommer is President and Chief Executive Officer of Norwegian Cruise Line, the innovator in global cruise travel which has been breaking the boundaries of traditional cruising for more than 50 years. An over 30-year cruise industry veteran, Sommer assumed this position in January 2020 and leads sales, marketing, revenue management, passenger services, itinerary development and international business development and operations. He is responsible for ensuring that the Norwegian brand excels in every way by employing new ways of doing business that improve guest satisfaction and team member engagement whilst continuing to produce industry-leading financial results.

Previously, Sommer served as President, International for the company's portfolio of award-winning brands including Norwegian Cruise Line, Oceania Cruises and Regent seven Seas Cruises. In this role he was responsible for sales, marketing, public relations, business development and office operations for all markets outside of the United States and Canada. Under his leadership the company expanded its global footprint with the opening of several offices around the world and significantly strengthened its international presence.

During his more than 30-year tenure in the industry, Sommer held a variety of executive roles at Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd., Prestige Cruise Holdings, Renaissance Cruises and Viking River Cruises including Executive Vice President, International Business Development; Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer; Senior Vice President Finance; Chief Information Officer and Chief Accounting Officer. He also co-founded Luxury Cruise Centre, a high-end travel agency specialising in premium and luxury cruise experiences. Sommer holds an MBA from Pace University and a BBA from Baruch College, both in New York City.

Katina Athanasiou

A cruise industry veteran for over 20 years, Katina Athanasiou is Chief Sales Officer at Norwegian Cruise Line. In this role, she is responsible for driving the cruise line's sales strategy by maximising opportunities across all third-party booking channels and deepening travel partner relationships.

Athanasiou has served in a variety of senior roles within the organisation including senior vice president of charters, meetings, incentives and events (MICE market), overseeing the sales efforts for all full-ship charters and corporate and incentive groups across Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings brands. She led the MICE sales effort for Oceania Cruises and Regent Seven Seas Cruises. Athanasiou has spent her career developing and implementing successful business strategies, helping her exceed sales goals across every measure.

Reporting to President and Chief Executive Officer Harry Sommer, in this role, Athanasiou will reaffirm the cruise line's commitment to its Partner's First philosophy, which puts travel partners at the centre of business decisions. Partners First celebrates its tenth anniversary in 2021.

David Herrera is the senior vice president of finance and strategy for Norwegian Cruise Line, responsible for all financial and business reporting as well as leading key strategic and operational endeavors for the brand.

Most recently, he served as senior vice president of corporate development and strategy for Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd. (NCLH). He also held a variety of leadership roles including president of NCLH China, during which he established local operations ahead of the launch of Norwegian Joy; senior vice president of strategy and business development for NCLH; and senior advisor to the chairman and CEO of Prestige Cruise Holdings.

Prior to joining the Organisation, Herrera was founder and managing partner of Eastside Financial Group, a private investment firm, where he invested in and advised private companies. Earlier in his career, he was vice president at Sanford C. Bernstein, where he advised high net worth families and endowments on financial matters, and he served as an investment banker at Goldman, Sachs & Co. in the Financial Institutions Group.

Herrera proudly served in the U.S. Army Reserves in Florida, Texas and New York, and he now resides in Davie, Florida with his wife Patty and their three young sons.

He received a B.B.A. from Stetson University and an M.B.A. from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College.

Chad Berkshire

In November 2014, Chad Berkshire assumed the role of senior vice president of revenue management, leading Norwegian Cruise Line's global cruise revenue, product pricing and yield management. During this time, he was instrumental in leading the Company's strategy of focusing on value over price with the introduction and growth of Norwegian's highly successful Free at Sea promotion.

He joined the Company in March 2008 as director of Operations Finance.

Previously, Berkshire oversaw strategic planning and analysis for Onboard Media, a subsidiary of Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy (LVMH), which provides customised integrated media to the cruise and hotel industry.

He lives in Coral Gables, Florida. with his wife and two children. Berkshire holds a B.A. in Business Administration from the University of Miami.

Isis Ruiz serves as Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer for Norwegian Cruise Line, responsible for driving demand and growing market share across the brand's key global source markets. In her role, she leads the brand's international and domestic marketing teams and drives the branding, consumer advertising and promotional strategy for the business.

Ruiz has held several leadership posts within the Company including roles in International Marketing, Trade Marketing, Onboard Revenue, Marketing Services and Loyalty Marketing. She has been integral in the development and launch of a variety of initiatives including the Company's Partners First philosophy and Gift Voucher programme.

Prior to joining Norwegian, Ruiz served in a variety of marketing, communication and sales roles in Florida and New York at Carnival Cruise Line; CompuPay (now BenefitMail); AXA Insurance; and Davis, Polk & Wardwell.

Originally from New York City, she currently resides in Miami, Florida with her husband, Jesus, and three children, Alyssa, Aidan and Andrew. Ruiz received a B.A. from Tufts University.

Christine Da Silva is the vice president of Communication for Norwegian Cruise Line, responsible for the development and execution of the brand’s global external and internal communication strategy.

Overseeing the Communication and Events teams, she leads the development of the brand narrative; is responsible for reputation, crisis and issue management; and has been instrumental in the launch of engagement initiatives including the game-changing Giving Joy and Encore Moments campaigns as well as the debut of the Company’s latest vessels.

Da Silva has over 20 years of experience guiding brands and businesses in delivering authentic and impactful messages through integrated communication and marketing strategies that drive growth, sales and awareness.

Prior to joining Norwegian, she founded Poplar Plum, a strategic communication practise focused on helping businesses including Brinker International and THG, as well as brand visionaries - from those in the C-Suite to first-time entrepreneurs -connect and engage with stakeholders.

Da Silva has also served in leadership roles with hospitality companies including Wyndham Hotel Group, where she was Vice President of Marketing Communications, and Dream Hotel Group, where she was Vice President of Communication.

She attended Rutgers University where she earned both a B.A. in Journalism, Mass Media and Communication and a M.A. in Communication and Information Studies.

Todd Hamilton

Todd Hamilton, who joined Norwegian Cruise Line in June 2007, currently serves as vice president of International Sales, overseeing the company’s international sales teams across the Company’s eleven offices outside of North America.

Previously, Hamilton held the role of vice president of Commercial and Business planning for Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd. as well as its three brands: Norwegian Cruise Line, Oceania Cruises and Regent Seven Seas Cruises. In that role he oversaw the execution of revenue and sales strategy, driving growth from international markets for all brands.

During his tenure with the Organisation, Hamilton has held a wide variety of roles in Finance, Revenue Management, Sales and Operations.

He received a B.S. from Spring Hill College and an M.B.A. from University of Miami. Originally from New Orleans, La., he now resides in Coral Gables, Forida with his wife Aileen, his son Reid and a ferocious dachshund, Banks.
