A: Yes, we offer Gift Vouchers in the following denominations: $25, $50, $100, $250, $500. Customers can also choose to purchase a customised Gift Voucher amount, in any whole dollar value starting from $25 to $1,000.

Q: Is there a fee to purchase a Gift Voucher?

A: No. Unless the expedited shipping option is selected, where a fee of $15.95 will be applied.

A: Gift Vouchers will expire once the "valid thru" date listed on the front of the Gift Voucher has passed, or 7 years from date of purchase. The funds on the Gift Voucher do not expire and will still be available for use if the cardholder contacts our Customer Service line to receive a replacement Gift Voucher less dormancy fees, However, unused funds can be depleted through the application of dormancy fees which begin to be assessed beginning on the 13th month of inactivity on the card. There will not be a charge for a replacement card if a replacement card is ordered after the Gift Voucher expires in order to access unused funds. Customers may contact us at 1-888-976-6904 to request a new Gift Voucher after it expires. Note: For lost cards, in addition to dormancy fees, replacement fees will apply.

Q: Can additional funds be added to a Gift Voucher?

A: No. Gift Vouchers are not reloadable. Funds cannot be added to a Gift Voucher after it has been purchased or redeemed. When all the value is used, the card should be destroyed. If additional funds are desired, another Gift Voucher can be purchased.

Q: What happens if the credit card used for a Gift Voucher purchase is declined?

A: If the credit card used for a Gift Voucher purchase is declined, the communication will advise the consumer that the credit card was declined and instruct the consumer to use a new credit card to purchase a Gift Voucher. The current transaction will be cancelled and customers will need to place a brand new gift voucher order.

A: Norwegian will send a communication to the Gift Voucher purchaser via email when the credit card is processed for payment, this may take 2-3 working days. Another email will also be sent when the Gift Voucher order is ready to ship.

A: Gift Vouchers can be used in the same manner as a credit card for purchases made online, in-person, or over the phone to Norwegian or a travel professional, or in-person for onboard expenses. A customer can use up to 3 Gift Vouchers in one transaction. For online purchases, "Norwegian Cruise Line Gift Voucher" should be selected as the payment type, and the Gift Voucher is entered the same as a credit card. For in-person or over the phone purchases, the Gift Voucher is presented to the agent when payment is collected and cardholder must inform agent of the amount of funds available on the card. For onboard purchases, the Gift Voucher can be presented to Guest Services Desk onboard the ship and will be applied toward onboard folio.

Q: What if a purchase is greater than the value on the Gift Voucher?

A: If the Gift Voucher is used for a purchase which is greater than the balance of the funds available on the card, the cardholder must tell the merchant to charge only the exact amount of funds available on the Gift Voucher to the Gift Voucher, and then must arrange to pay the difference using another payment method.

Q: What if a purchase amount is less than the value on the Gift Voucher?

A: If the Gift Voucher is used for a purchase which is less than the balance of funds available on the card, the amount of purchase can be charged, and then the Gift Voucher can be returned to the cardholder to use the remaining balance for future purchases.

For all other funds paid, refunds will be processed in accordance with our Refund Policy.

This fee will be assessed to the Gift Voucher each month as long as there are funds remaining on the card and no further activity has occurred. If further activity occurs, no further dormancy fees will be assessed again until the 13th consecutive month after activity. This fee can be avoided by making regular purchases with the Gift Voucher.
