Departing from the pier you’ll travel south to the oasis village of Codpa. On the route through the Atacama Desert, the driest desert in the world, you’ll stop to see Presencias Tutelares Sculptures – giant figures by Chilean sculptor, Juan Diaz Fleming. Stop at a viewpoint to see the desert with the Andes Mountains in the background.

Your destination is Codpa Village, which, during the pre-Hispanic period, was the residence of the chief of Altos de Arica who governed the tribes of Socoroma, Putre, Livilcar and Tignamar, among other communities. The land is very fertile and different kinds of fruits are grown here. You’ll have an opportunity to taste their traditional Pintatani wine. Stroll to discover the local architecture, visit the church and stop for lunch. Enjoy the local folklore as a shaman (medicine man) “reads your future” with a coca leaf and a local group entertains you with music and dances.
