OVERVIEW

Cruise the oyster-rich waters of the Pambula Lake and sample farm-fresh bivalves while on board. Pambula is home to several of the Sapphire Coast’s finest oyster farms, its lake fed by fresh water from two coastal rivers affected by tidal exchange with the ocean waters of Merimbula Bay. This unique intermingling gives the Sydney Rock Oysters harvested here a sweet lingering aftertaste that is both delicious and unmistakable. You’ll soon savor that flavor for yourself, after a 30-minute drive to where you board an oyster punt boat and head out into the Pambula waters. During a relaxed cruise, your captain will point out the historic middens on the bank, where early aboriginal people once piled their oyster shells. Potential sightings of sea eagles, dolphins and stingrays add to the excitement – but the true thrill will be when you have the opportunity to sample some succulent, freshly harvested oysters. Once back on dry land, observe the sights of Eden from your coach on the drive back to the pier.
