SHORE EXCURSIONS

Help pedal a unique group bicycle from pub to pub and enjoy entertaining commentary at each venue, culminating with a craft beer tasting. It won’t take long to reach Ernie’s Old Time Saloon, a landmark that locals have frequented for years. While there, you will learn a bit about the history of Sitka, which was the capital of Russian America until 1867, when the United States purchased Alaska. The second pub will be the Pioneer Bar, a longtime watering hole for fishermen. Between fish stories – which may or may not be true – be sure to check out the photographs of historical fishing boats and shipwrecks that cover most every square inch of wall space. Afterwards, you will pedal off to the Bayview Pub, a local favorite known for its selection of locally brewed craft beers. You will be offered a sample of some of the most popular ones.

Join the “Jolly Roger” Bermuda’s family friendly fishing adventure for an evening of night fishing on the barrier reef. Fish in style aboard a clean, comfortable, fully air conditioned 56’ custom fishing boat. Once onboard, enjoy a sunset ride through Bermuda’s pristine inshore waters to reach the fishing grounds where the fun begins. You'll be provided with light spinning tackle, bait and any instruction you may need to hook into some snappers, triggerfish, jacks or any other of the countless species of nocturnal reef dwellers not visible during the day light hours that abound Bermuda’s waters. Remember inshore fishing locations mean very little chance of being sea sick. We also have a bar on board offering water, sodas, beer and snacks for purchase. Bring some enthusiasm and a little luck and your Captain and crew will take care of the rest to ensure that you have a memorable and exciting trip! For an additional cost, have your catch cooked at local restaurant in Dockyard. Guests who catch fish are unable to take it onboard the ship for health and safety reasons.

Enjoy a 25-minute scenic drive to Coral World Ocean Park, upon arrival a Sea Trek guide will brief you on your exciting undersea adventure. The staff will help you suit up with water shoes, gloves and your Sea Trek helmet which keeps your face and hair dry while it provides air, weight, and stability. In guided groups of no more than ten, you’ll trek around coral reefs and see their abundant marine life up close and personal 18-20 feet below the surface. Get a diver's view of fish and corals, without any swimming or diving experience!

When you resurface, you’ll have about 90 minutes to explore Coral World on your own. Marvel at the grace of the sea turtles, sharks and stingrays. At the touch pool, gently handle starfish and sea urchins, pet a sea cucumber, meet a hermit crab and other touchable sea creatures. Visit the Lorikeet Garden and feed these playful and colorful birds some nectar. Find a special gift or souvenir at one of the unique gift shops and relax and refresh at one of the open-air cafes. Wear your swimsuit and bring a towel. You may wear prescription eyeglasses in the water. Video and photos taken by tour guides are available for purchase. Personal cameras are not permitted on the helmet dive portion of this tour.

Board your bus for a narrated scenic snapshot of Victoria and its many sights including Beacon Hill Park, Mile 0, Beach Drive, Chinatown, and the beautiful Inner Harbor. This tour of British Columbia’s capital city will pass stately homes, manicured flower gardens, and historical sights. Victoria’s centerpiece is downtown's Inner Harbor, home to the Royal BC Museum, BC Legislative Buildings, and the iconic Fairmont Empress Hotel. Time permitting, choose to end your tour downtown for plenty of sightseeing, shopping and dining, or the night market, and return to the ship via shuttle or taxi or enjoy a 25- minute stroll back to the ship. If not ending your tour downtown, enjoy the return trip back to the ship through the quaint James Bay neighborhood.

Thousands of olive groves flourish in the Olympia region, and the grove at Magna Grecia is well-known among them. The fourth generation of the Karabelas family operates the farm, which produces olives, olive oils and wines on a small scale that ensures high quality. While touring, you will hear about the production methods and the farm-to-table philosophy that ensures the freshest ingredients. You will have the chance to sample a selection of organically grown olives that demonstrates their distinctive tastes. They may include varieties such as Kalamata, Koroneiki and Olympia, all of which thrive in the farm’s microclimate and have a connection to ancient Olympia. Although the lunch menu often changes, it typically includes chickpeas with eggplant, oven-baked lamb, citrus-flavored chicken, vegan dishes and baklava for dessert.

Cruise to The Baths and swim in the crystal-clear waters of the Caribbean. Snorkel and discover the abundant marine life, relax on the beautiful white-sand beach or just rest on the sun deck of the boat. Listen to Caribbean music.

Take a scenic ride to world famous Magen's Bay, acclaimed as one of the ten most beautiful beaches in the world by National Geographic Society. Enjoy approximately two hours of swimming, sunbathing, beachcombing or just relaxing. Then meet your driver for your transfer to downtown Charlotte Amalie where duty free bargains abound. After approximately 2 hours of shopping head back to the ship via your pre-arranged transportation.

OVERVIEW

Sample a selection of craft beers and single-malt whiskies made with locally sourced ingredients at the only combined microbrewery and distillery in Canada. A guide in a Scottish tartan kilt will lead you on an entertaining behind-the-scenes tour of both locales – Macaloney’s Caledonian Distillery and Twa Dogs Brewery – and describe the production of the whiskies and beers in detail. You can expect it to be an eye-opening experience as these libations are made exclusively using traditional techniques that guarantee their extraordinary quality. During the tastings, you will be served two distinctly aged whiskies and three beers that may include an aromatic raspberry crème brûlée ale, an IPA made from four different hops and a sour beer flavored with coriander and salt. An enlightening driving tour through Victoria follows, during which you will pass through Canada’s oldest Chinatown and view the iconic Empress Hotel and grand Parliament complex along the Inner Harbor.
