Enjoy a close-up look at the main attractions in iconic Fenway Park and then head into the surrounding neighborhoods for a sampling of beer or hard cider at several classic pubs.

After departing from the pier, you will enjoy a panoramic drive through Boston while listening to enlightening commentary about the city’s history. Since opening in 1912, Fenway Park has been an integral part of that story, and today it is America’s oldest baseball park.

Fenway was the home park of Boston legends such as Ted Williams, Carl Yastrzemski and Jim Rice. Although the Red Sox won the World Series nine times, the team suffered through a stretch of 86 years without the title. Fenway has seen it all, and you will see Fenway up close.

You will browse the press box and broadcast booths and get a good look at the dugout seats and Pesky’s Pole. The famed pole marks the right field foul line and the shortest distance for a home run in Major League Baseball. Depending on the field’s availability, you may get the chance to walk along the warning track and behold the iconic Green Monster that stretches across left field.

After some time to shop for Red Sox memorabilia, you will head into the surrounding neighborhoods for a fun-filled pub crawl. You will stop in several taverns for a locally brewed beer or hard cider. Boston is full of microbreweries and pubs, so you can expect a rollicking good time.

Sample some of Boston’s finest beers and ciders at four historical taverns along the Freedom Trail while the guide regales you with lighthearted, wildly entertaining stories.

After departing from the pier, you will soon arrive at Boston’s famed Freedom Trail, a route that passes landmarks that tell the story of the American Revolution. As you walk the trail, the guide will elaborate on the significance of the attractions in the founding of America.

To toast Boston’s role in American history, you will stop in four historical taverns to sample several local beers and hard ciders. Neighborhood pubs have played a significant role in the development of America, as residents have long gathered there to discuss relevant events, such as how to get rid of the British in the years leading up to the Revolutionary War.

The exact taverns will be chosen the day of the bar crawl, but each one will date back to at least the 1800s. The beverages will be uniquely local, with many of them only served in those bars. You might sample an American stout in a tavern that Boston natives Samuel Adams and Paul Revere frequented. Other bars may serve pale wheat ales, golden lagers and IPAs.

You will also have the opportunity to try hard ciders. They too come in a staggering array of varieties made from a mix of New England apples. The ciders may be blended with other fruit juices, aged in bourbon barrels and produced in other ways that affect their tastes.

The seaside city of Salem is well known for its infamous Witch Hunts of three centuries ago and its special nautical heritage dating back to the China Trade. On this tour you’ll visit the Salem Witch Museum and experience Salem’s historic waterfront. At the museum, using stage sets, life-size figures, lighting and narration, you’ll learn about the Witch Trials of 1692 and have time to visit the witch exhibit. You'll also see the Witch Memorial and the Point Burying Ground where one of the 'witch' judges is buried - an ancestor of Nathaniel Hawthorne.

Take in Salem’s picturesque Derby Wharf, dating back to the fabled China Trade period, when Yankee Clipper ships sailed around the globe and Salem was the wealthiest city in the United States. You’ll have time to independently explore the historic waterfront, snap a photo of 'Friendship,' a replica clipper ship or simply relax and browse the unique shops on the wharf. Before your return drive to Boston, enjoy a drive down Chestnut Street, considered by many to be the most beautiful residential streets in America.
