OVERVIEW
Enjoy beach time at Ocean Breeze Beach on Playa Dorada, one of the area’s serene stretches of sand. It won’t take long to reach Ocean Breeze Beach, which will give you all the more time to bask in the sun. With a welcome drink in hand, pick your spot to relax. During the next four hours, you might lay back in a lounge chair and bask in the sun, take a leisurely stroll along the shore or ease into the water for a refreshing swim. Around midday, a buffet lunch will be served.

Boasting one of the largest man-made dolphin habitats in the world, Ocean World is a must-see attraction for everyone cruising Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic. Dive into a timeless adventure with the combination of Tabyana Beach Day and the Gumbalimba Preservation Park Tours. Spend a day in the “Lost Caribbean” and bask in the sun at the edge of turquoise waters. Palm trees provide shade for those who would like to stay out of the sun. Package includes admission to the beach, use of changing and shower facilities, round-trip transportation and a BBQ style lunch.
At Gumbalimba Park discover a park where nature, history and adventure surround you. Interact with monkeys and macaws or stroll through the gardens. Hop aboard the hemisphere's first transcontinental railroad and see the Panama Canal from the comfort of a deluxe 1938 vintage dome car. During your journey you’ll travel across the isthmus and see Gatun Lake. Then, visit Agua Clara Locks Observation Center (Expansion Locks) for an up close look at this engineering marvel.
You’ll board your transportation for a short drive to Colon and board this unique train. Reminiscent of the golden age of railway travel, the passenger cars feature luxurious wood paneling, tables, carpeted floors, air conditioning, large windows and open-air viewing decks.
You’ll ride in a restored executive dome car which has an upper deck with full-length observation windows and booth seating, as well as two restrooms and a bar.
Then, you’ll leave the Colon station on an approximately one-hour train ride to the Pacific terminus of the Panama Canal, passing Gatun Lake and the dense rainforest. During your railroad journey, your guide will provide commentary on the railroad, history and the canal, as you enjoy a light snack and beverage. Upon arrival in Panama City, you’ll transfer to the Agua Clara Locks Observation Center (Expansion Locks) where you’ll have the opportunity for a close up view.

Spend the day in the beautiful region of Colima. You’ll have some free time in the capital city of Colima, visit the ruins at La Campana and enjoy a delicious lunch in the charming village of Comala.
After a drive along the scenic coast, you’ll make a short stop at a colorful roadside coconut stand and then travel inland to Colima. Upon arrival, you’ll see the beautiful 19th-century cathedral and the Museum of Colima. Enjoy some free time to shop and take photos here.
Board your transportation for the drive to the ruins at La Campana. The low, pyramid-like structures feature shaft tombs, ceramics, storm drain systems, streets, and an administrative and religious center with numerous monuments. Enjoy a delicious lunch of local favorites in the charming village of Comala.

Spend hours browsing the San Diego Zoo Safari Park on your own and discover a collection of some of the world’s most extraordinary animals. A scenic drive into the San Pascal Valley will bring you to the famed zoo, which sprawls over 1,800 acres of open-range enclosures, climate-controlled exhibits and areas that replicate natural habitats. You will have hours to meander at your leisure, but be sure to get a map to make the most of your time. You might visit the Cheetah Safari to watch the world’s fastest land mammal demonstrate running at speeds approaching 70 miles per hour. Other safari experiences present close-up views of rhinos, giraffes and gorillas. Pretty much any animal you have in mind can be found at the zoo, including somewhat unusual species such as gerenuks and okapis and favorites such as Sumatran tigers and African elephants.

Stroll along the cobbled streets of a replica 16th-century Mediterranean village and enjoy a leisurely horseback ride through an exclusive seaside resort. Although Altos de Chavon looks centuries old, the village is a total re-creation that first opened in 1982. Even so, the details and meticulous craftsmanship lend it an Old World ambiance. While there, you can expect to see a Grecian-style amphitheater, the stone St. Stanislaus Church and thousands of real artifacts in the village’s Archaeological Regional Museum. The views of the winding Chavon River below will be spectacular. For a different perspective of the countryside, you will follow a well-manicured trail through the Casa de Campo resort on horseback. If soaring like Superman across the main beach of the island sounds like your idea of fun, then this is the activity for you. You’ll be met at the keeper’s house, located at the base of the Flighthouse by the flight crew who will provide you with a safety orientation, assist with your equipment selection and fitting and a technical flight briefing covering the upcoming flight mission. Once outfitted and briefed, you’ll be transported up to your designated flight deck via the Flighthouse elevator where your adventure begins. This 1,300 ft “Double Beach Superman Run” delivers a major adrenaline experience as you fly racing face down in a “Superman” position at 40 mph! Note the beach run can also be done in the regular seat harness that is used for the Lagoon Run Zip.

Enjoy a leisurely walk to a series of waterfalls for a refreshing swim and then experience the local culture by shopping for handicrafts and dining on characteristic Dominican cuisine. The source of the cascades is the Damajagua River, a cool crystal-clear stream that tumbles through the mountains forming waterfalls of varying heights. You will have time to time swim in the placid pools below the cascades and admire the natural setting before continuing on to a typical country market. A sampling of fresh-brewed coffee and a chocolate sweet will serve to whet your appetite for the sumptuous buffet lunch that follows at the nearby hacienda La Huerta. Most of the ingredients for your lunch will have been grown in the gardens that surround this former sugar plantation. To enhance the dining experience, you will be offered a tasting of Brugal Rum, which has been distilled in Puerto Plata since 1888.

You’ll meet your guide outside your cruise ship for an approximate 5-minute taxi ride along the coast to the facility. Next, step onto a waist-deep platform in a sparkling lagoon to experience a world of dolphin excitement! Greet your new dolphin friend with a “fin shake”, a hug and a kiss. After your tour you can easily walk into downtown Cozumel for some great shopping before heading back to the dolphin entrance where your transportation will take you back to the ship.
