Ride the historic White Pass & Yukon Route Railroad and explore the crystal clear waters of a glacially-carved lake by kayak. Your advantage begins aboard the "scenic railway of the world," whose route was carved out of the rugged coastal mountains. This is an unforgettable ride complete with impressive views of waterfalls, trestles, mountains, glaciers and the original "trail of '98." Experience the beauty of the White Pass Summit and the wilds of the Canadian Highlands before arriving at Lake Bernard.

Grab your gear and get instruction in the use of stable, state-of-the-art, two person kayaks. Paddle across the cold, pristine waters that the gold rush stampeders plied more than 100 years ago to reach the gold fields of the Yukon. Enjoy pristine alpine wilderness complemented by the scenery of snow-capped mountains that rise in all directions. Your experienced guide will share tales of the gold rush and tell you about the natural history. Watch for bear, mountain goat, caribou and eagles amid the alpine terrain of Tormented Valley. Enjoy a light snack before boarding a motorcoach for your return to Skagway.
