Game of Thrones - Aventure à travers Port-Réal

    Dubrovnik, Croatie

    Duration 4 hours

Visitez plusieurs sites emblématiques de la vieille ville, devenus encore plus célèbres après avoir servi de lieu de tournage de King's Landing dans « Game of Thrones ».

After departing from the pier, you will soon arrive in the oldest section of Dubrovnik, a revered UNESCO World Heritage Site. Fans of the TV series “Game of Thrones,” which is based on George R. R. Martin’s “A Song of Ice and Fire” fantasy novels, will recognize this part of Dubrovnik as King’s Landing, the fictional capital of the Seven Kingdoms.

Your first stop will be imposing Lovrijenac Fortress, located just outside the medieval walls that encircle Old Town. Known as Dubrovnik’s Gibraltar, the 11th-century fortress perches atop a craggy rock overlooking the sea, which represented Blackwater Bay in the books.

Continuing on, you will enter Old Town and make your way to the defensive walls to the south. After climbing the steps, you will walk along the stone battlements, which afford extraordinary views of the sea and the inner city. These walls appeared in numerous scenes in "Game of Thrones"; they were particularly prominent in the Battle of Blackwater Bay.

Later, you will enjoy free time within Old Town, where you may explore other sites that you may recognize from the series. For instance, the Jesuit Staircase was where Cersei Lannister began her Walk of Shame in Season Five, and many of the show's market scenes were filmed along St. Dominic Street. Following free time, you will return to the pier.

    Bon à savoir :

Note: This tour involves approximately two hours of compulsory walking and is therefore unsuitable for passengers with limited mobility. Lots of steps will be encountered at each of the venues visited. Passengers will have approximately 60 minutes of free time, where walking is at the discretion of the individual. Order of sites may vary. We recommend that you dress in layers, wear comfortable shoes, hat, sunglasses and bring bottled water. Minimum age to participate in this tour is 8.

    Grenade, l'âme de l'Andalousie

    Grenade (Malaga), Espagne

    Duration 9 hours

Découvrez les charmes de Grenade, ville d'Andalousie à l'architecture superbe, et explorez un superbe palais, la chapelle royale et le quartier le plus ancien.

After departing from the pier, you will settle in for scenic drive inland to Granada, a city likely named for the Spanish word for pomegranate, a fruit so abundant it is depicted on Granada's coat of arms. Or Granada may have derived from its Moorish name, as the city was the Moors' last stronghold before falling to Spain's Catholic monarchs in 1492.

Granada features a wealth of extraordinary architecture such as your first stop, the Carlos V Palace within the Alhambra complex. Construction on the palace began in the early 16th century, following a Renaissance ground plan with a circular courtyard within a square building-the only one of its kind in Spain. Amazingly, a monarch has never lived in the palace, nor did it even have a roof until 1957.

Walking a bit farther, you will soon arrive in the labyrinthine streets of the Albayzin quarter (down part of the quarter), the city's oldest section. UNESCO has deemed it a World Heritage site for its harmonious blend of Moorish and Andalusian architecture.

Nearby, you will find the glorious Royal Chapel, the final resting place of Spanish monarchs such as Queen Isabella and Kind Ferdinand. Be sure to see the chapel's mausoleum, spectacular altarpieces and ornate grilles before enjoying free time and perhaps lunch on your own in the surrounding historical area.

Afterwards, you will drive back to Malaga.

    Bon à savoir :

Note: Due to traffic conditions, the tour duration may vary from 8-9 hours. This tour includes approximately 2½ hours of walking, some of it over cobblestone surfaces plus any additional walking at the guests' discretion during free time. The sights on this tour are not wheelchair accessible and therefore, it is not available to wheelchair guests and those guests with mobility concerns are cautioned to evaluate their personal level of ability and stamina. Comfortable, flat walking shoes are recommended.

Canada : célébrez plus de 150 ans !

    Halifax, Nouvelle-Écosse

    Duration 7 hours

Célébrez le 150e anniversaire du pays avec une série d'expériences purement canadiennes, dont la visite d'anciennes colonies et de monuments et l'achat de spécialités nationales.

After departing from the pier, you will settle in for a circuitous, picturesque drive through Halifax, admiring historic sites such as the Halifax Citadel, where the British built a fort and founded the town, and the Province House, Canada's oldest legislative building. Along the way, you will hear fascinating stories about Halifax's history, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and why Nova Scotia sends Boston a spruce tree every Christmas.

Continuing on, you will arrive at another extraordinarily scenic area, Old Town Lunenburg. Established in 1753, it is North America's best surviving example of a planned British colonial settlement. The original layout and appearance has been retained so faithfully that UNESCO designated Lunenburg a World Heritage site.

During free time, you can explore the brightly colored Old Town, which is easy to navigate because the streets follow a rectangular grid pattern designed in Britain. You can expect to see 18th-century wooden buildings and perhaps a replica of the Bluenose, Canada's legendary racing ship that was launched here in 1921.

Later, in lovely Mahone Bay, you may shop or dine on your own, prior to visiting Arcadian Maple. This family-owned business sells all sorts of Canadian delicacies, many made with maple syrup.

    Mont Teide en téléphérique

Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Îles Canaries

    Duration 5.5 hours

Profitez des paysages époustouflants du parc national de Teide et atteignez le sommet du mont Teide, le troisième plus haut volcan du monde et site sacré pour le peuple indigène de Tenerife, en téléphérique.

After departing from the pier, you will drive inland along an immensely picturesque, circuitous route and on into Teide National Park. The largest of the Canary Island national parks, Teide features a colossal stratovolcano that contains Mount Teide, the highest peak on Spanish soil. Its stunning geological formations are so important to understanding how volcanic islands are created that the park has been named a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The now dormant volcano last erupted in 1798. It also erupted in 1492, supposedly as Christopher Columbus was sailing past on his voyage of discovery. Your approach to Mount Teide will be through a volcanic crater 30 miles in circumference.

The closer you come to Mount Teide, the more surreal and lunar the landscape will appear. The terrain is a jumble of bizarre natural rock formations, petrified lava rivers and endemic vegetation. One of the most spectacular plants is the red bugloss, a species with 6-foot, cone-shaped stems covered in pinkish-purple blossoms.

More phenomenal sights await you while ascending Mount Teide via cable car. From this unique perspective, you will enjoy sweeping views of the volcanic landscape and the ancient crater rimmed with red, brown and yellow walls. Upon reaching the summit, you may explore further during free time before retracing your route back to the pier in Tenerife.

    Bon à savoir :

Note: Warm jacket recommended as the temperatures can be cooler at the top of the peak. From October to April the temperatures can reach below freezing. It is forbidden to remove any stones or plants from the National Park. This excursion will travel up some mountain roads to approximately 7,000 feet above sea level and eventually to 11,600 feet with the cable car. This tour is not recommended to guests who suffer from heart problems or have previously undergone heart surgery, pregnant women, respiratory problems including asthma or infants under the age of 1 year. Comfortable, flat, walking shoes are recommended. This tour is subject to weather conditions and may be cancelled at short notice. Due to its popularity, queuing may be experienced at the cable car.
