Plant a tree in Tivat's Big City Park, explore Porto Montenegro and Solila Reserve for birdwatching before enjoying a stroll through Old Town Kotor. more...

Enjoy the serenity of several natural settings, including the Big City Park in Tivat, where you will plant a tree that will benefit the Earth for years to come. The urban park is a green oasis full of indigenous and exotic plants that include eucalyptuses, magnolias, Chilean firs and unusual herbs. By planting a small tree on the grounds, you will add to the botanical diversity and perhaps most important help the environment, as trees absorb harmful carbon dioxide and release oxygen into the air. A bit of free time in Porto Montenegro will follow, after which you will wander through Solila Reserve on the Bay of Tivat. Although salt was once produced in the pools along the shore, birdwatching is now the main activity in the protected wildlife reserve. Keep an eye out for auks, ibises and curlews. A leisurely and informative walk through Old Town Kotor will perfectly complement the experience.

    HIGHLIGHTS
    • Plant a tree in a park known for its botanical diversity.

Speed through Boka Bay on a speedboat ride with stops to relax and refresh at Blue Cave and Rose Beach. Enjoy the wild landscapes and enchanting swim. more...

Race through Boka Bay in a speedboat and enjoy a refreshing swim in the Blue Cave and in the sparkling waters that rim a nearby beach. Although officially known as the Bay of Kotor, Boka – as it is called locally – is considered the southernmost fjord in Europe because of its wild landscape and precipitous cliffs that plummet into the sea. Zipping along its rocky coast in a speedboat will be an exhilarating experience, especially on the approach to the Blue Cave. Expect to be awed by the brilliant blue water and the hue that it casts on the cave’s interior, both the result of the way the sunlight reflects off the sandy bottom of the sea. You will have the opportunity to swim in this enchanting setting before zipping off to Rose Beach on the tip of the Lustica Peninsula. Sheltered by the surrounding mountains and forests, the water there is typically calm.

    HIGHLIGHTS
    • Zip through the typically calm waters of Boka Bay on a speedboat.
    • Swim in a seaside cave known for its brilliant blue water, which reflects on the interior.
    • Pause for a swim at Rose Beach, yet another idyllic spot on the bay.

Boka Bay Catamaran Sail & Beach

Sail across Boka Bay, witness Perast's UNESCO architecture, Our Lady of the Rocks church and explore Movida Beach Club's exclusive ambiance. more...

After departing from the pier in a sleek catamaran, you will soon be sailing across the heart of Boka Bay. The surrounding landscape is so wild and the cliffs so precipitous that the bay is often referred to as the southernmost fjord in Europe. It’s that stunningly beautiful.

In time, the ancient village of Perast will come into view. Like Kotor, it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site with extraordinary Venetian-style architecture and abundant Catholic churches. One of the most beautiful churches is Our Lady of the Rocks, which sits on a tiny island in the bay. As you circumnavigate the island, you can expect to hear the legend of how it was formed—supposedly by sailors who dropped rocks in the same spot every time they sailed by in honor of the image of the Virgin Mary being seen there.

Then it’s on to the exclusive Movida Beach Club, where you might stroll along the sea, take a refreshing swim in the typically calm waters and relax in a lounge chair under the shade of an umbrella. The scenery is just as impressive as the beach, and you will have plenty of time to soak it in before boarding a coach and driving back to the pier.

Explore Kotor and Perast's charm amid cliffs and sparkling waters. Enjoy a scenic drive, Venetian architecture and a historic Kotor walking tour. more...

Between dramatic cliffs and the sparkling waters of Boka Kotorskam, you’ll find the towns of Kotor and Perast, each with a charm of their own. This amazing landscape was created 300,000 years ago by tectonic forces and is part of UNESCO’s list of protected natural sites. A short scenic drive on the inner part of the bay, full of contrasts, takes you to Perast. This easternmost shore was the earliest inhabited area in the Boka, as evidenced by archaeological finds. The town reached its peak in the 18th century under the Republic of Venice. At that time, ornate baroque palaces and magnificent houses were constructed. Walk the quaint streets of this town full of typical Venetian architecture.

Visit the cathedral of St. Nikola, a beautiful example of Venetian-Romanesque style. The two small islands in front of Perast offer an impressive view, each of them with a picturesque chapel. Sail to one of these islands, and visit the Church of Our Lady of the Rock and learn of its legend. Most of the present day church was erected after the great earthquake of 1667 when the original sanctuary was destroyed. You’ll find a collection of paintings and a beautifully embroidered tapestry made by a local lady, among its treasures. Once back in Kotor, you’ll continue on a walking tour of the town with its historical buildings and delightful streets.

Enjoy an insider’s tour of the olive groves on a family estate and then visit two olive mills for a tasting of the so-called “liquid gold” from freshly pressed olives.

After departing from the pier, you will settle in for a spectacularly scenic drive to the Lustica peninsula, where a local family will welcome you to their estate. During a leisurely walking tour of the olive groves, you will learn how the trees are pruned and tended, the best times to harvest the olives and how the olives are pressed to produce oil. You will then walk to a nearby village to see a historical olive press and the newer olive mill that replaced it.

Historians believe that the Greeks introduced olive trees to Montenegro when they founded coastal colonies there in the 4th century BC. Olive trees can produce fruit for well over 100 years, and after a taste of freshly pressed olive oil from these ancient trees, you will understand why they are so coveted. You will also be served local delicacies that taste even more delicious when dipped in extra virgin olive oil.
