Enjoy views of beautiful Kealakekua Bay, and make a stop at St. Benedict's historic painted church, noted for its colorful murals depicting biblical scenes.

You’ll discover old Hawaii at Puuhonua O Honaunau National Historical Park. This place of refuge has served as a political and religious sanctuary for the breakers of sacred law, or kapu, since ancient times. Here you’ll will find a temple that once housed the bones of deceased chiefs, and wooden images of the fierce gods that protect it.

Hop aboard a powered catamaran for a cruise through Kona’s history, when Hawaiian kings ruled these tropical isles. Your guide will provide the narration as you pass by noteworthy sites including temples, battlefields and an unusual recreation site, the holua or slide. Hawaiian royalty loved sports of all kinds, the most incredible of which they called sledding – down grass covered slopes and stone ramps.

Keep your eyes open for the resident spinner dolphins that frequent these waters year-round, and the humpback whales that visit from December through April. Enjoy a deli style turkey sandwich, fresh fruit, a gluten free/vegan pasta salad, chips and cookies.
