Retrace the path of earlier travelers from the comfort of a motor coach as you ascend 3,292 feet to White Pass Summit.

Enjoy a scenic motor coach ride along the Klondike Highway, paralleling the route used by prospectors during the 1898 Klondike Gold Rush. Ascend 3,292 feet to White Pass Summit while your knowledgeable guide will captivate you with tales of earlier travelers and the hardships they endured in their quest to reach the interior.

At the summit, breathtaking views surround you as you pause to relish the experience and photograph the majestic mountains and cascading waterfalls.

On your way back to Skagway, stop at the scenic Skagway Overlook, a photographer's delight offering a panoramic view of the Skagway Valley, glacier-clad mountains, Lynn Canal and your cruise ship.

Travel to Dredge Town, where you will enjoy an authentic smoked barbecue lunch, consisting of ribs, chicken and various side dishes. Dine inside or outside on either the riverside patio or the rooftop deck with its mountain views.

Experience the life of a prospector when you join a colorful cast of characters for the chance to strike it rich. They’ll teach you the art of gold panning, and you can practice your technique in warm-water troughs. Gold is guaranteed in every pan!

Haul your treasure into the Assayers’ Office and have it weighed. While there, you can also browse the gift shop’s collection of gold nugget jewelry and discover unique, mining-related souvenirs.

Re-board your motor coach and travel back to the pier.
