Zip through the jungle in an Xrail vehicle made for off-road adventure and then pause to explore the cenote at Jade Caverns, where you can swim in the amazing fresh waters.
After departing from the pier, you will enjoy a picturesque ride to the Xrail facility in El Cedral, site of the oldest Mayan ruins on the island of Cozumel. Here, you will receive a brief orientation on how to operate the all-terrain, four-person Xrail and how to maximize your experience.
Your caravan of Xrail buggies will then zoom into the wilderness, zipping down dirt roads and through the lush jungle-like vegetation. If it has been rainy and muddy all the better, as Xrails are made to negotiate rugged terrain. Not much of the island has been developed, so you can expect an exhilarating, carefree ride to the Jade Cavern cenote.
Cenotes are natural wells that the ancient Mayas believed were sacred links between the earth and the underworld. The Jade Cavern cenote is particularly spectacular, as the water is always cool and ideal for swimming.
During free time at the cenote, you are welcome to take a refreshing dip in the freshwater cenote, which is surrounded by tropical vegetation. The tapered rock formations around the cave’s ceiling make a perfect surrounding for your visit to the only cenote in Cozumel.
Following your exploration of the cenote, you will hop back in the Xrail and tear off into the countryside on the return to El Cedral.
