Island Sightseeing & Beach

Settle in for a spectacularly scenic drive that includes the north and south coasts of Roatan before enjoying free time at the beach. From the top of the appropriately named Panorama Hill, you will be treated to a magnificent view of Coxen Hole and your cruise ship. You will then follow a route through the interior of the island to the Eco Caribbean Culture Park, where you might meander the natural paths that wind through the gardens and delve into the history of the Paya Indians, the island’s original inhabitants. You may also learn about Captain Henry Morgan, the Welsh-born pirate that supposedly hid out Roatan in the late 1600s. For an understanding of the present-day culture, you will likely see a demonstration of how coconuts and cashews are processed. Afterwards, you will spend a few relaxing hours on a beach at Pirates Bay, where you will be free to do whatever you please.
