Escape the bustling streets of Skagway and set your course for the breathtaking waterfalls and exclusive dining experience of Burro Creek Lodge, a private rustic resort located just two miles across the water.
Your tour begins with a quick transfer across Lynn Canal on an enclosed custom-built boat. At the lodge you will be welcomed by a champagne toast before joining your guide on a leisurely five minute stroll to Burro Creek's spectacular waterfall. Don't put your camera away! From here your guide will lead you to the wooden footbridge with magnificent panoramas of the fjord's wild coastline ringed by snow- capped mountains.
Burro Creek Lodge harnesses the energy of its waterfalls to produce all of its own electricity. After a demonstration of the hydro turbine generator guests may choose to hike with the onsite naturalist, join our chef in the kitchen for a woodstove cooking presentation or simply relax at the seaside campfire.
When the meal bell rings, grab a beer or glass of wine and roll up your sleeves for a sumptuous Dungeness crab & shrimp boil with andouille sausage, corn on the cob and red potatoes served with melted butter and oven-fired bread. Desert is a decadent double chocolate brownie served with assorted fixings and topped with a marshmallow roasted over the campfire.
