Biography - Nelson Martins
General Manager, Norwegian Viva
Nelson's has had a career at sea for over 25 years. Born in Portugal and raised in Biarritz, France, Nelson obtained his degree in the Hotel Certificate of Professional Competence (CAP), as well as a BTS (Advanced Technician Certificate) university degree in the field of Hotel Catering, Tourism and Hotel Management. Nelson moved to London in the late 80's and began working at La Tante Claire in Chelsea, and Chez Max in Hampton Court, both Michelin Star Restaurants. After spending a decade in London, he began his journey in the cruise industry with Cunard, Windstar, Renaissance, Disney, and finally Norwegian Cruise Line. Nelson has been sailing with Norwegian Cruise Line for over 8 years now and is dedicated to ensuring that all guests receive an exceptional vacation experience.
While on vacation, he divides his time between London and Cannes, France, where he has his primary residence.
