Luxuriate however you please on a floating ocean club. The VIP upper deck is a private haven of relaxation and style, featuring panoramic views, shaded daybeds, and attentive personalized service. After a short boat ride across the turquoise waters of the Caribbean, you will arrive at Blu: The Floating Beach Club, the ultimate oasis at sea. During the free time that follows, you can create your own slice of paradise by doing whatever suits your mood. You might stretch out on a shaded daybed atop the VIP-only upper deck, bask in the sun on a comfy lounger and ease into the ocean-water pool. For a more adventurous experience, you can zip down the inflatable slide into the open sea and explore the underwater wonders by snorkeling or Paddle boarding. OVERVIEW

Observe the wonders underwater through the completely transparent hull of a boat and then snorkel the crystal-clear waters for another perspective of the marine life. Unlike boats with only see-through bottoms, this one is almost entirely made of clear polycarbonate resin so there is nothing to block your view of life beneath the sea. Even the seating is transparent. Yet the boat is strong and sturdy enough to accommodate an outboard motor so you can easily zip through the water. You will pass over shipwrecks and coral reefs teeming with colorful fish before pausing at a sand bar that attracts huge numbers of red-cushion starfish, the largest species of starfish in the Caribbean Sea. Snorkeling will offer an even closer look at the bountiful marine life off Cozumel. Expect to see an ever-changing parade of tropical fish of every imaginable shape, color and size, including black groupers, neon-colored parrotfish and pinkish-purple Creole wrasses.

Join in the fun of this exciting combo! Enjoy the unique experience of getting behind your shared two-passenger speed boat and explore the underwater world with your snorkel equipment. Start your adventure with a 20-minute taxi ride to picturesque Barracuda Beach. After orientation and safety instructions, you’re now at the helm of a two-seater speed boat and ready for a run across the crystal clear Caribbean waters during this adrenaline-fueled excursion.

Feel the waves below you and admire the scenic coastline, passing by white sand beaches and mysterious lagoons. After your one hour ride gently pilot your boat to the shallow waters and enjoy some time snorkeling. Return to the beach for a delicious lunch and relaxing time beachside. After your fun-filled adventure, settle in for the taxi ride back to your cruise ship.

Experience Xcaret, one of the world’s most famous ecological parks where you will find underground rivers, natural pools and a myriad of attractions including the first Butterfly Pavilion in Mexico and a coral reef aquarium. This unique theme park offers many exhilarating activities and more than 40 attractions. It is pure fun and enjoyment in a natural setting. As you get off the ferry in Playa del Carmen, your bi-lingual guide will take you to your transportation for a short ride to Xcaret. At the park, your guide will assist you with planning your day,advising you where to go and what you can do.

You are then on your own to explore and experience the park. Choose from the butterfly pavilion, museum of Popular Mexican Art, cemetery, Henequen Hacienda, a bird sanctuary, botanical gardens, aquarium, restored Mayan ruins, a replicated Mayan village, beautiful beaches and natural pools. Don’t miss the opportunity to swim in an underground river. OVERVIEW

Spend hours exploring Punta Sur Eco Park, an ecological reserve where you can observe marine life, snorkel along a coral reef and relax on the sugar-white beach. Your adventure will begin with a thrill by climbing an observation tower to watch saltwater crocodiles in the lagoon below. The world’s largest living reptiles, these ominous-looking crocodilians can live to be 70 years old. A wonderful panoramic view of the reserve’s natural wonders awaits you atop the Celarain Lighthouse, whose interior holds a fascinating marine navigation museum. The ruins of El Caracol, a lighthouse that the Mayas may have built 700 years ago, lie nearby. You will be free to spend the remaining time at the beach doing whatever you please, even if it is nothing more ambitious than basking in the sun. As an option, you will have the opportunity to snorkel in the crystal-clear waters of Cozumel Reefs National Park.

See historical landmarks on an enlightening walk through downtown Cozumel and toast the occasion with a sampling of craft beers at the city’s first brewery. You will begin at Benito Juarez Square, an expansive plaza named for the national hero who in 1858 became the first indigenous president of Mexico. A clock tower dedicated to Juarez has risen above the square for more than a century. Just a block away, you will find San Miguel Church, a modest but iconic building that has long provided a spiritual anchor. After a bit of free time to shop for artisanal handicrafts, you will settle in at the microbrewery Cerveceria Punta Sur. A behind-the-scenes tour will reveal the more interesting aspects of the brewing process that produces signature beers that include an IPA, blonde ale and stout. To complement the tasting, you will be served a snack platter with Guacamole, boneless chicken wings and potato wedges.

OVERVIEW

Sample tacos at three venues – each specializing in a different style of taco – and learn a bit about the various ingredients and history of this iconic Mexican dish. Tacos have come a long way since Mexican silver miners supposedly invented them in the 18th century. Before your first sampling at the downtown Municipal Market, the guide will show you around the food stands and explain the types of taco seasonings. You will then be served two cochinita pibil tacos, a traditional Yucatan dish made with marinated and seasoned suckling pig meat that has been wrapped in banana leaves and roasted in an underground oven. The second and third venues will be restaurants, one known for seafood tacos, the other acclaimed for another type of taco. A refreshing beer will be served to complement your dining experience, along with samples of tequila, water or soda. Also, one drink will be included at each venue.

Challenge your senses and sense of reality in Xenses Park, a fantastic setting where up is down, right is left and nothing is as it appears.

After departing from the pier, you will settle in for a picturesque ride to the mainland and on to Xenses Park. You will then spend the next four hours or so exploring this highly unusual sensory park with all sorts of entertaining activities that are designed to challenge your perceptions and enhance your senses.

Starting at the welcome area, known as the Pinwheel, two different circuits are available. The Consensible Circuit will test your senses in areas such as The Way of the Dwarfs and Giants. Here, you feel small one second and then enormous a moment later. Enter the complete darkness of the Xensatorium and all of your senses but sight will sharpen. Then, there is the Xitric Garden, where you can drink lemonade straight from a faucet in a lemon tree.

The Inconsensible Circuit will play tricks on your sense of balance and reality. You might float down a super-salty river, soar through the air on a zip-line, and meander through a make-believe town where the laws of physics and logic don’t apply. Water will seem to defy gravity, and you may think you are ascending steps but are actually walking down them.

The experience will be extraordinarily fun, wildly amusing and mentally challenging. Afterwards, you will enjoy free time in Playa del Carmen to ease back into reality.
