Set on a large sheet station that has remained in the same family for generations, you’ll drive to Wool World, a well-established New Zealand brand for premium wool duvets and alpaca fur rugs. During your visit here you’ll find a farm display that includes demonstrations of shearing and sheep dog trails, as well as woolshed museum with displays of family history and mementos. Feel free to also take advantage of browsing the shop and finding high quality knitwear and some authentic New Zealand wool items available for purchase. You’ll be treated to Devonshire tea at one of the charming local cafés.
Travel to the summit of Te Mata Peak where you’ll find unmatched panoramic views over the Tuki Tuki River Valley and onwards to the cities of Napier and Hastings. During summer and autumn months the area is up to three degrees Celsius warmer during the day; making this area of Hawke’s Bay it’s most unique.
