This 1.5-hour adventure brings you up-close with swimming pigs as you watch them swim at a private island. Here along the white-sand shoreline you'll meet a friendly group of pigs that call the island's tropical setting their home. Start your day with a 40-minute scenic boat ride through historic Nassau Harbor on a high-speed ferry to Blue Lagoon Island. Enjoy this private island at your leisure. The craftsmen will demonstrate the art of intarsia or wood inlay, which has long been associated with Sorrento. During free time that follows you might browse the boutiques and dine on your own. If you stop for lunch, be sure try a glass of chilled Limoncello, a sweet lemon-flavored liquor that has been produced locally for more than a century. You will then head to Pompeii, a Roman town forever known for the catastrophic eruption of Mount Vesuvius that buried it under ash and pumice in 79 AD. After watching artisans hand-carve classic cameos, you will meander through the excavated ruins. The buildings are largely intact, frescoes adorn the villas and everyday objects are scattered about, just as they were when the volcano erupted. Expect to see ancient baths, temples and residences with intricate mosaic floors.

Delve into Tarragona's intriguing past by visiting its ancient Roman ruins, including sites where thousands of spectators watched chariot races and gladiator fights.

Depart from the pier for a leisurely drive through the lovely hillside city of Tarragona. One of the most impressive aspects of this UNESCO World Heritage Site is its reverence for history and preservation of its ancient Roman and medieval architecture. During the drive, you'll pass the Mediterranean Balcony, a lookout point offering excellent views of the port, beach and, of course, Mediterranean Sea.

Before long, you'll begin a walking tour of the walled Old City, entering through the Portal del Roser gate. Inside the walls, you'll stroll through the popular Plaza de La Font and view Tarragona Cathedral (exterior visit), a magnificent blend of 12th and 13th-century Gothic and Romanesque architecture. To help you visualize the layout of Tarragona during its Roman occupation, you can study a detailed model of the city in the second century A.D. It provides a great background for what lies ahead, including the remains of the Roman Circus, an ancient hippodrome where horse and chariot races took place. As you visit inside this marvelous site, you can only imagine what it was like with up to 30,000 spectators gathered to watch the races.

Continuing on, you will walk toward the Mediterranean Balcony and see the nearby amphitheatre that the Romans built for gladiator fights. If you look closely, you may notice the odd remnants of a basilica at its center, which was built in the 12th century, long after the era of the gladiators. At the conclusion of your guided walking tour, you'll enjoy some free time at the Mediterranean Balcony to further explore on your own or do some shopping before returning to the pier.

Enjoy an enlightening tour of Naples and folded pizza, a classic Neapolitan treat. Your panoramic drive will present views from affluent Posillipo Hill and of the imposing Castle Nuovo. The castle’s five towers make it one of Naples’ most recognizable landmarks. You will also see the Egg Castle, which holds a commanding position on the sea. In time, you will reach Spaccanapoli, a long street whose name means “Naples splitter,” a reference to it somewhat dividing the city in two. Here, you will visit the Jesuit church Gesú Nuovo and the Church of Santa Chiara, which was founded in 1310 and features an austere Provencal-Gothic style. To delve even deeper into daily life, you will walk through the narrow streets of Old Town, which UNESCO has declared a Cultural Heritage site. As you will discover, there is no better setting for an espresso and portafoglio or folded pizza, as the dish was invented in Naples.

While bicycling through the outskirts of Alboraya, you will likely pass farmhouses surrounded by fields of vegetables and chufa, a vitamin-rich superfood known more casually as tiger nuts. Take an approximately 45 minute cruise along the Sir Francis Drake Channel to Spanish Town, Virgin Gorda. On arrival, open safari buses take you on an approximately 15 minute drive through Spanish Town to The Baths for a self-guided tour, where you can swim (weather permitting) in the unique atmosphere of mammoth boulders, palms, and sea caves.
